S_K, I agree with most of what you say, but personally I blame GB & TB for triggering the global financial crash that led to years of austerity (not sure that was the right solution) and we simply did not have the expertise in government to sort it out. We're all still paying for that mess and now we've got the added burden of paying for lock-down & the pandemic. Fundamentally, I'm optimistic about the future of the country but I do worry that our government doesn't ask for help when they need it.
