RE: Question re nationalisation4 Dec 2019 01:50
Here's my opinion on the scale of things (just a opinion)
Bt will already have looked at the two outcomes of election
1 labour win (doubtful) bt would push for highest government compensation for shareholders as possable , or fight in the courts for best price . It may work out alot of shareholders get back to their average price but I do not believe labour will win also corbyn would have to get this past in parliament which it's already proved theres strong objections for this even in his own party
2 conservative win ( more likely)
Government subsidies and loosening Ofcom's regulations will be a big stimulus to the expansion plans
Plus there will be more certainty in the market so more investment , which should help bt sp
Plus by have been aggressively streamlining the buisness which I see as 2 fold greating future growth
Also a long shot with conservative in power more certainty is there somebody sitting in the side wings waiting to merger / takeover in away that would make sense ( sought your buisness out and let's wait to see what happens with brexit ) I do believe at some point someone will make a move on bt but who I have no idea
I'm sitting long on this one to see how it unfolds
All of this is just a opinion
