LTH. Rarely post here but sick of being fed endless worthless promises.. Don't keep telling us that PANR is very encouraging and that more reinterpretations of seismic studies promises value for shareholders. How about copying what PANR are doing. They're getting value for shareholders.
Usual vague rumours spun by Conroy. Must be time for another cash raise to fund their hobby. If there was serious interest from a major it would have happened years ago. Nothing on the ground has changed. If there was profitable gold to be dug up it would have already been done. Good luck to the day traders if they can make a quick profit but long term holders continue to despair.
About 35 years ago, Premier were described as a small oil exploration minnow. Their only real asset was a holding in the Wytch Farm project in Dorset. Since then they have expanded into a multi asset producer, 8 licences I think, including In the N. Sea and in the Atlantic off Scotland which came into production late in 2018. They have paired with other oil majors and turnover is in the billions. Maybe not Tier 1 but a pretty good 2. They seem to be pretty good at turning prospects into production.
P.S. As a LTH I'm down a lot but I still believe in their technology and I really, really, really hope this big rise is on a leak of good positive news!
Might be pathetic background noise but unfortunately it's also true. No contracts.
I thought geologists did the finding bit. We're often told what they have found already so these geologists are now redundant. I also thought that mining companies did the digging it out bit. For what they're being paid why not hand these geologists a shovel and tell them to start digging. They'll produce more than CGNR have produced in a very long time. At least we'd see some effort. Do CGNR actually have any mining staff at all or is their function simply to mine salaries from shareholders. There must be some sort of law about this even in Ireland.
Wouldn't it be good if someone with deep pockets could say what most of us think of CGNR and be sued by them. At least in court they would have to try and prove that they are not what their performance suggests they might be.
Normally a rise like this, 18.37%, would suggest something happening, eg, opening a mine or first pouring. Based on CGNR history I would guess that maybe Murphy has bought a new shovel. Well, it is potato planting time.
PS. I'm Irish so I'm not making a racist joke.
The director's salary trough must be running low. All that money and not a grain of gold produced. Who on earth bought 60k shares this afternoon? Stop drilling holes. I can do that in my back garden and I can produce as much in an hour as they have in the last 10 years. Give me half as much as the company's typist gets and I'll produce 10 times the nothing they have produced. Give me the whole of the typists salary and I'll produce 100 times nothing. That's got to be a bargain. Please send cheques to You're a Mug Plc.
In view of the recent apparent inability of PIs to express their opinions via the EGM vote, for reasons already debated at length, nobody except a bucket shop owner is ever likely to fund another trough filling exercise.Only divine intervention can now save CGNR from it's BOD. As a LTH I still believe in the value of the possible asset but I no longer believe in the BOD's ability or motivation to get anything out of the ground and sell it. Pity!
The attraction of AIM to companies seeking access to market funding is that it has lighter regulation than a full listing. Lighter, not absent! Lets see if both AIM and the Dublin regulatory authorities turn a blind eye to these proceedings. I'm not a lawyer so I can't say if anything here is illegal, certainly not on a public access BB., but it would be appropriate if some scrutiny were to be applied here if only to reassure present and future small and other investors that some protection is in place.I won't, however, hold my breath.
Thanks sercher. They're electronically held, I'm over 40 years in this game so I sometimes forget that my address is not on record with CGNR. But this must be common to most shareholders. After all, who doesn't deal on line these days.My point is still that we should have been notified. How about using a company announcement in the company news section of most brokers web pages. After all, that's where CGNR let us know of the fantastic progress they're making in developing their prospect, bought a new shovel, etc. Any information to keep the trough filled is put up there pretty quickly. If I held a significant percentage that made my vote important to the BOD I,m pretty sure they would have found a way to contact me. My broker has my address and e mail address. After all, that's how I get dividends from other companies. I suspect that us small holders put together would have a significant percentage between us and most of us would vote in favour of getting rid of the current BOD. Without reading this BB we would have had no idea there was a vote taking place. This ongoing contempt for shareholders would be enough for members of other company boards to be swiftly removed.
I am a small shareholder in Conroy for several years. I believe that I am entitled to vote. Why then have I had no contact at all from the company to inform me of the upcoming event? I haven't read this BB for months and did so by chance a few days ago otherwise I would have had no idea this was happening. Surely Conroy have a legal obligation to notify qualifying shareholders of any event requiring a vote? How many other people like me are being deprived of their legitimate right to have their say while the prof adjusts the register in advance of Fridays vote? Are the stock exchange rules applicable to Conroy or not?
An imminent placing is another BOD fantasy. Nobody in their remotely right mind would take up any offering in this fantasy company. I think I might have 5 million ounces of gold in my back garden. Can I have a lot of your money to dig a hole and look? That rns said we think we might have a bit of gold but it's only conceptual. The Prof is throwing in his money because he has a lot of it and likes to fund his hobby of being a CEO. I sound bitter because after years of investing I made the mistake of picking up on press releases and early RNSs and didn't check that the back story is a long, long time ago. That is my own mistake and misjudgement but I don't forgive the way investors are treated with contempt. Other PLCs take our money, get it wrong and tell us. That rns tells any potential investor, " this a pretend company. Run like hell and put your money on a horse. At least that way you have a chance." Rant over but I do think we are being treated badly. If I am wrong it will give me great pleasure to apologise as robustly to the BOD.
New year but same old, suddenly nothing happened. I really want to move my investment somewhere I can get a return, eg, a building society, where I could get a dizzying 0.25%. I tried to sell before Christmas but nobody wanted to buy. The market doesn't want to know CGNR and neither do I. The BOD etc should stop getting paid for work that isn't being done. Try telling your boss that you're taking 10 years off but don't forget to keep the pay cheques coming. I'm sure he'd be delighted to agree!
I don't believe that CGNR have any intention of joining up the holes and digging out gold. As long as our money is paying their salaries why bother? I invested here several years ago because of the noises coming from the prof. More fool me. If I had known then that the reputation based on success with a zinc mine was so, sooo long ago I would not have been so easily persuaded. But, that's the way it goes. You learn the hard way.
