Funny how they are trying to introduce 15 minute towns over here
It's so they can spin off coal make it a separate entity thing is is it at any cost and fuq the investors..again re xtrata ..let's face it as a investment glencore long term has been shocking its back under its IPO price even if you held the dividend was on and off farce...but as a day trader its been awesome :-)))

If glencore are successful they'll
Already have to pay a higher premium and its only just begun tech is flying up on speculation
Teck Resources Ltd. shares surged to a record Monday, exceeding Glencore Plc’s per-share takeover offer price for the first time, as other major mining companies show interest in acquiring the Canadian firm’s metals operations.
The stock gained as much at 9.2% in Toronto after Freeport-McMoRan Inc., Vale SA and Anglo American Plc were reported to be evaluating potential bids for Teck’s base metals business if the firm spins out its coal assets. Norman Keevil, the 85-year-old magnate who controls Teck through “supervoting” Class A shares, said in a Sunday statement that he’d support a transaction on the right terms after the separation.
Day 100% cash is king don't buy anything in this current climate save cash for the bargains that come in a market collapse
Day they've certainly still got a substantial amount of shares at their disposal only thing I worry about is debt it is very expensive now with higher interest rates to borrow/revolving debt/loans..who knows speculation goes tets up with this company
I'm with you on this Day ..no good comes from these big acquisitions..glencores track record of spend high at the top of a commodities cycle isn't good ...
Choose ffs
It's not out of favour its just the world is pausing just incase glencore buys another donkey or China invades Taiwan or putin pushes the button or dollar pushed put of oil takecyer pick there's plenty to chews from and you can get a good return of interest on yer cash in a bank or a fixed rate bond with no risk
Eviking..are we having da ja vue ?? 22 billion ...interest rate going through the roof inflation out of control for now and we are at the top of a commodities cycle glencore does some great move look at coal from 2019 genius or luck but it was the right move xtrata definitely not the right move
Again on the merger hunt at the top of a commodities cycle ff da ja vue :-( will glencore ever fooking learn share holders will be left holding the can again when this cycle finishes China will be the top commodities trader in less than 5 years they will do everything leaving the likes of Trafigura and glencore scratching their heads, China will not want to deal with a third party for much longer
Jesus this predictive text is shocking

Daytradenovice.. absolutely mate chins not taking g their companies to court over bribery a d corruption...too woke the west need to get tough
China is the biggest threat to glencore ...A Chinese miner is set to overtake Glencore as the world’s top cobalt producer this year, as the rush for critical green-energy metals intensifies China is taking over the Congo at an alarming rate hmm no fooker on their case over brides and back handers 100% thats happening
Glencore has see a quid or lower twice in these last 11 years I've Been in it trading and long term holds all the way through both could it happen again who knows ...if the banks start doing domino's then anything can happen
