And the deal seems to be worth about 13 pence per share today based on current GTE share price, say sell value if that is what is intended if deal goes thru and an estimate of the exchange rate applicable to such a share sale.

Down almost 10% at $6.60 today - the "gods" are against this deal

"Corporate Action"notified and just came through on my SIPP Account - AJ Bell - so will vote NO

Does the latest RNS indicate that Peel Hunt LLP are buying i3E shares on behalf of GTE - (see latest RNS on this board)

Iv'e been following PTAL Tony, but have yet to invest

I put a small amount into Serica in Sept 2023 - I am over 40% down on the investment after taking dividends into account

Why is it irrelevant GeorgeJeffreys - as I pointed out earlier in the early part of the year they were even lower, below $5 ........... I was indicating that GTE shares are falling ....... it is irrelevant which SE they are quoted on - the shares are falling, period, and therefore the deal is getting weaker as each day goes by

My shares are in my SIPP with AJ Bell - just called them and the guy said just send a secure message with you decision - is that enough, should there not be an on-line form to complete? - as all the i3E share with Bell will be in a nominee account I just want to be sure that they carry out my instructions

I cannot see what there is to gain by voting yes

Vote NO and it's likely that a better deal will be put on the table

Vote NO and even if no deal is done we go back to square one and get a good dividend in what we are told is a company that is undervalued in market were prices for it's product are expected to improve.

At the deal price the company is being "sold" "merged" or whatever, far too early - (unless the BoD know something negative that they have not made the shareholder aware of!)

Any idea when the vote will be? - has it been announced? - just need to be sure so that I can chase AJ Bell if they do not notify me

In a perverse way i3E's cash is being used by GTE to "buy" i3E

The situation is not satisfactory from quite a few standpoints, but i3E is "in play" and the usual "plays" are just beginning to happen

Doesn't mention the 0.2565 p dividend - presumably a mistake, or will that be paid separately

Just received this from A J Bell - my shares are held in a SIPP

"i3 Energy plc has announced details of an offer by Gran Tierra Energy Inc. The offer is to purchase all of the outstanding shares of i3 Energy plc via a scheme of arrangement.

Under the terms of the scheme, you will receive GBP0.1043 in cash for each i3 Energy plc share held and 1 new ordinary share of Gran Tierra Energy Inc for every 207 i3 Energy plc share held.

Alternatively, there will be a Mix and Match Facility alternative option, whereby you will be able to elect to receive a combination of Cash and Gran Tierra Energy Inc Stock in proportions of your choice for each i3 Energy plc share held.

The scheme is subject to shareholder approval at a scheme meeting to be held in due course.

There will also be a court hearing in order to sanction the scheme.

If approved, the scheme is expected to become effective in Q4 2024.

I agree - dividend part of the deal - just taking the p1ss - we would have had 2 dives by the time December comes

GTE share price was below $5 in Feb 2024 - just saying - at $5 the deal would be down to what i3E shares are now selling for

Thanks Tony, the presentation on the GTE web site looks impressive, but I have no way in verifying the facts

You can spin it either way - any way that you want

For me the current situation does not feel "right" and I'm disappointed - you would hope that when a company "takes over" another (growing) company that you own shares in and that has been "talked up" by the BoD as being undervalued that you would be at least expect the BoD to do more to seek an increased offer.
