High pressure definitely helps. John beg reported sands in tulainyo 2 to have porosity of 15-20% this is good and is measured by the logging tools. Permeability is measured by flow testing or core samples. Tulainyo are similar aged sands in the same basin so hopefully 15-20% will be found in Dempsey and Alveras too with bit of luck. It’s a shame GJ has been so tight lipped with the detail, others are not. Gla.

Alveras, if the integrity of the original well is intact then recompleting this will only cost 10% of the cost of a new well! For a potential of 2.5tcf this poses a strong risk reward investment case. Recompletion of Alveras will have the benefit of lessons learned from Dempsey too, not forgetting tulainyo 2 on going flow testing results.

Yes hallmark, that was my interpretation too. I think x1 (biggy) and x2 will be perforated now and this is what they know about these zones. “Technical analysis completed by Sacgasco indicates that Zone 3 potentially contains reservoir sands with significantly better porosity than exhibited by the tested Zone 2. Zone 3 sands also have a strong seismic signature, with positive seismic attributes interpreted to reflect better reservoir continuity and extent.” During drilling, additional zones were encountered above this, in between the g sands and x1. So there are more to go at! The Dempsey presentation isn’t up to date and doesn’t show all potential zones discovered during drilling.

Should be strong news flow over the next month. Dempsey zone 3 flow tests, China full siesmic interpretation, Tulainyo flow tests may have some impact and start the ball rolling with Alveras, mako further results. I wonder if the decision made last week to move up the Dempsey well could have been influenced by Tulainyo? Both share similar aged sandstone reservoirs.

The last 3 months has been a data gathering exercise to design and submit a stimulation permit. I wonder if this has been done in anticipation for this next zone. The next zone appears to be a large zone, perhaps this is the one they’ve always been interested in! John beg said right from the beginning the isolation put in between the last zones was a temporary plug! GJ has an agenda to prove up this well but I don’t believe he has been honest. Regardless, I think he has the best interest in mind to make this commercial. GL, that’s just my opinion, I’m still hopeful of a successful commercial well that goes straight into production.

This is what Tullow said in their 10th January trading statement and operational update Processing of 6,500 sq km of 3D seismic data acquired during 2017 on the Kanuku and Orinduik licences in Guyana is ongoing to mature and rank identified prospects. Preparations are under way to commence drilling in early 2019, although options to bring drilling forward into late 2018 are being considered.

2018 has been pretty good so far and I’m expecting it to continue, onwards and upwards!

Q4 or q1 2019. With Exxon’s success there keen as mustard on Guyana. If Total take their 25% option, Guyana will be drill ready and eco will have plenty of cash to fund several drills. Success with tullow or chariots drills in Namibia may have some influence? Plenty of exciting news coming, Gil said March 2018 to March 2019 could be transformational!

We’re still waiting for 3D siesmic and cpr for Guyana, but Gil has advised a prospectus resource in excess of 1 billion barrels with multiple leads.
