Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Just putting it there that the RNS says that one funding source ETI can help with is through issuing equity.
Quite interesting to see a solitary buy of around £1,000 early doors every day. It’s often the only morning trade. Strange, and slow, way to build a decent holding.
Agreed - a bit more positive. But a share that goes up on no news is either leaky or getting played. If it’s the former, well you never know what’s round the corner. If the latter, then start worrying about rampers, derampers and day traders polluting the board. We had new poster on here last week posting some excitable verbiage last week, which was bit of a red flag for me.
Funny how the fee-paying schools such as Harrow and Eton aren’t going back until September at the earliest. Newspaper owners with relatives at those schools don’t seem to be fussed about that, yet it would make sense for them to go back first. Smaller classes, Lots more space and many of the kids are boarders, so much easier to manage. And anyway, where’s the scientific evidence that says Reception and Year 1 should be prioritised? I suspect that advice comes from economic ‘scientists’ - get as many kids who can’t be left home alone back in school ASAP so their parents can get back to work. Makes more sense to experiment on the safety of children and staff at private schools if you think about it.
A good way of spending the divi. Hard to criticise a bank for using spare cash to pay off debt. Divi gets spent, debt comes off the balance sheet, value of bank goes up. Might need a bit of patience but this will support a quicker, bigger post-covid recovery.
I’m thinking Oman must have an incentive to speed up any plans to earn money through means other than oil. Copper mining for example...
You copy that out of Viz comic?
Not surprised you need a good vibe around here if you’re sitting on c£130k loss, CM. I hope you’re not all in on this.
Gutted for you Salve. A lot of us bought into this on early promises that have failed to deliver and now feel let down. I do think there’ll be another small spike on the back of another false dawn and will look to get my money back with a little extra for my inconvenience as soon as that happens. I hope you haven’t invested more than you could afford to lose in here if it goes all the way down, and that you’ve got a good spread of investments elsewhere (even if CV is spraying gloom around investments quite widely at the moment). Patience really is a virtue at the moment...
So how far underwater are you now CM, if you’ve ‘made’ £20k on a rise of 0.5p or so from an all time low? Your average is about 6p if I remember right.
2227: if it turns out the company needs to hoard divis to stay afloat, it’ll have saved what’s left of your holding. If, as is much more likely, the divi isn’t needed for that, then it’s merely a postponement and you’ll get it later. Investing takes patience in numerous way, we just didn’t expect this.
Mallys83: you’ll be fine mate - hang in there. 36 is no age in terms of investing. Investing in something like RBS is rewarded handsomely over many years, and there’ll be plenty ups n downs along the way. You’ve only made a loss if you sell. Turn off your laptop and go do some shopping for a neighbour or weed the garden or something. Try make the most of your new found spare time. Keep your chin up and stay safe :)
Savannah: “CV-19 means we’re making no progress”
Everyone else “What’s different about that?”
It reads well as a ‘Dear John’ letter but it’s not much of a marketing advert.
Why do you think that is?
On the way. Why no buys from the BOD? No buys must mean either big news due or that the BOD also have no confidence in their company.
Wonder why there’s been no buys by the BOD at these levels.
And if you want the SP to improve, CM, try Publicly highlighting the BOD’s abject failures yourself. Seeing as they don’t respond to emails anymore, it’s your only chance of holding them to account in some small way. I can’t believe you’re watching the money that you can’t afford to lose disappear down the toilet and blaming the people who are pointing out the company’s failures for it, instead of blaming the company.
Production in 2023? And this in a puff piece? What a disaster.
Me berating the board for not answering reasonable questions is the cause of a catastrophic fall in SP? My comments will inform the DD of potential investors? Haven’t you thought that it might not be the presence of questions that knocks confidence, but that the absence of answers might? Strewth, CM, I’m doing you a favour here - don’t have a pop at me for exposing the silent failure of the BOD.
