2017 Annula report1 Jun 2018 12:11
So I had to contact Stella to send me the 2017 Annual report, which I've had a brief look through. (not sure when it was uploaded, but it must be pretty recent since they do include the EU launch dates)
Totally disallusioned by their statement on FDA approval not being obtained until late 2021 which means commercial sales not starting till Q1/Q2 2022, if that. Given the content of all previous announcements whereby much earlier years were stated and that early meetings had been had with the FDA and on a continuous basis, all I can say is there has been some major cockups and or very unrealistic reporting of the time lines. Thats only nigh on 9 years since the EU approval for the 20 dose can which is going to be used.....derrrrr.... WTF. Why wasnt the FDA consulted long before. Seems they were too confident on what they thougjht would be the natural route without even consideing to ask the FDA.
As Pom had stated before: No wonder China has now come into play. The BS JG fed me in June 2016 about trying to get approval in China would be a nightmare compared to the USA and as such was not being considered was obviously unfounded. Since we may even get the product out there long before we see it in the USA based on the numerous times they have committed dates to paper.
This is also probably why there is no sight of any ROW licenses. Prospective licensees want to see an FDA approved product or agreed route before they are willing to commit. I'm sure the previous track record regarding the EU delayed launch has not inspired them wanting to deal with RPG.
There appeared to be only 2.25 mill USD cash in the bank (excluding 8mill+ USD other assets) at the end of 2017 which means a good possibility of yet another cash call if EU sales are slow to take off. (I wonder what happened to the remainder of the placing money received in Q1/Q2 (4.93mill USD) and the Q4 milestone payment received (4.71mill USD) = 9.64 - 2.25 = 7.39mill USD spent. Pom your the accountant, if you have the time and the inclination :-)
That said, they have also indicated:
The Group currently has a number of products for which marketing authorisations have been, will be or are being, sought in various territories. The Group anticipates filing applications to obtain further marketing authorisations in the future......... What products are these ??? Anyone care to guess or point me in the right direction where they are explicitly stated.
It is also stated that they are also looking at increasing the batch size yet again. This time from 300L (which apparently equates to 50,000 cans) to 380L (63K cans using a linear relationship, but probably more like 60K)
Does this indicate they expect significantly better than expected sales figures since I dont recall seeing any announcement on this before or since ?
