Newcrest acquires Fruta del Norte finance facilities
Newcrest Mining Limited (NCM:ASX) announced today that it has signed an Acquisition Agreement with funds
affiliated with Orion Resource Partners and Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and completed the acquisition of
the gold prepay and stream facilities and an offtake agreement in respect of Lundin Gold Inc.’s Fruta del Norte
mine (the Facilities) for $460 million.

Request for trading halt
Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX:NCM) (Newcrest) requests that its securities be placed in a
trading halt from the commencement of trading today pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1.
The trading halt is requested pending an announcement by Newcrest in connection with a material acquisition and an equity raising to be undertaken by way of an institutional placement (Placement) and a share purchase plan.
Newcrest requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of:
(a) an announcement being made about the completion of the Placement; or
(b) the commencement of trading on 4 May 2020. Newcrest is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted or any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.

It all feels a bit surreal :)
tonight’s results are a piece of the jigsaw puzzle not the definitive answer !!!

Agree Paddy - The Artemis (ARV) board can be like a GGP fan club at times as they promote they are our neighbours :)

I read Hot Copper which is the Australian version of this chat board. The Newcrest chat room is not interested in GGP in fact 3 posts were just removed as they were judged to be cross promoting ggp despite them being joint venture partners with Newcrest.
Paddy started a new thread entitled Havieron - he made 2 fantastic posts ( well worth reading) and had 1 reply- simply no interest apart from the usual shareholder moans about NCM share price...
I think once the MRE is announced and the Ozzie investors have the potential value of Havieron slapped in their face then there may be more interest- watch this space :)

Nice of Prim to publish their quarterly report almost a month early ( last one 11/2). They are keen to have their say which is good for us:)

That 6.60 price was for 5 shares costing 33p at 16.24.39 the true spread should have been 6.3/6.4
So we can expect more MM games on Monday as usual

Both those large 5m + trades today were bed & isa. Interesting that the MM chose to do them around 17 could have chosen 20 but that doesn’t fit their agenda.
