Personally I say boll/x to CUDA unless they accept chump change, would rather we sunk our cash in to horizontals on deep discovery.
It’s a win win from here, we either get CUDA for fek all or we get a partner who will contribute meaningful costs to us.
Personally I am surprised we got this news now as I thought it would be held back till later(eg post CUDA) so Art has either had the nod someone wants in at a higher price or that his bid I’d likely to be accepted…

The Atomic assets:
• It is a high NPV asset secured at a price well below traditional metrics:
Ø NPV (10%) @ 2020 WTI base of $39/bbl.: P2: $185m

So right now with our current WI NPV is $ 370 mill
If we get CUDA WI NPV based on current WTI will be around $550 mill
This includes nothing for our deep discovery…..

Last minute finance would usually imply nuts in a vice.
Financiers will know without it BOR will fail finance stress test for licence extension so whatever is coming it’s unlikely to be palatable.

85 percent WI of let’s say 4000 bopd (could well be more)
Deeps producing (with potential; for multiple horizontal wells at circa 700 bopd…

All of a sudden we have meaningful production with massive upside, equipment valued at 35 mill, and a massively increased NAV, meaning a bid or market cap should be well north of £150 mill…

Always puzzled me why a company so large as CNOOC would bother holding the 15%..
