We could and should have easily raised at 50p with this news in the bag….

Thanks for the reminder on that buy out Tilburn, I think POO was lower then as well.
To me there are 2 outcomes here….

1. COPL has already been in informal discussions with a suitor who is happy for them to keep proving up the concept here to the point of the initial horizontal wells (why else release the discovery info now, with CUDA not secured) then pay an enhanced fee safe in the knowledge they have a huge resource with massively scalable production

2 COPL are happy to have placing money in bank and allow bidder with deep pockets to acquire CUDA with a view to increasing WI later for more dough.

IMHO it’s scenario 1

As such, Cuda's working interest share of the oil production and expenses in the Barron Flats Shannon Unit accrues to the account of Southwestern as the field operator, and creditor, until the arrears are satisfied.

Let’s not forget Copl are also receiving CUDA share of production till debt paid as per last RNS…

I’d like to see Art really push this properly, re state the NAV of the current Atomic asset @ current Wti prices plus plug in some numbers with the new discovery.

I think most after months of being kicked in the nuts are just frustrated at this massive discovery not being factored in.
Say what you want about Art is terms of his bad timing in terms of placing etc, but one thing he does know is how to develop oil fields…..those not familiar should see how he quickly built Oilexco into a major north se producer before the financial crash.

Again it is total utter madness that with a 1 billion barrel discover we are priced still around 45% below the relist price.

Smart move they have zero discovered oil we have the equivalent confirmed discovery they hope to have plus production.

My only annoyance is we could have announced this before the nonsense placing and if need be placed around the 50p mark…if we had announced this first…
The timing of this (eg without CUDA being formally announced as in the bag) is bizarre to say the least….so IMHO something Must have changed in the background, as now anyone bidding will know they get 27 percent of a billion barrel discovery…
So….IMHO bid accepted in advance of closure date or COPL are happy someone with deep pockets can outbid them and will be able to contribute to an accelerated drill program (perhaps with an additional payment to increase their WI)
Just musing but something has changed for sure IMHO for AM to confirm this now….
