Yes agreed looking forward to hearing about the spread of our AIHL Test used in other Trusts, and sells to the MFT !!

It is unclear as to whether the 150 Nurses trained during our AIHL Test Trials are included in the 300 Nurses currently being Trained in the MFT, as stated in the RNS dated 18th March 2022 ?
However, I am thinking the 300 Nurses being Trained are on top of the 150 Nurses Trained during the Trials – Because the Antibiotic Induced Hearing Loss trials successfully completed in June 2021 with 750 babies tested.
I would have thought the 300 Nurses within the MFT, must be pretty well Fully Trained in the use of our AIHL Test by now ?!!
Training takes between 15 mins and 1 hour - Must be very user friendly, and simple to use !!!!!

Even if the Training is ‘One on One’ at an average of 40 mins Training per Nurse, with 7 hours on average Training per 5 day week = 10 Nurses Trained per day or 50 Nurses per week.
Therefore, 300 Nurses would take about 6 weeks, from the 18th March ?!!
Making the possibility of 450 Fully Trained Nurses in Total by Now ?!! – That is a lot of Trained Nurses, and would have thought that they are putting their Training to Good use now ?!!

And the test is expected to be routinely used in all the hospitals’ neonatal units within weeks, which are part of Saint Mary’s Managed Clinical Service within the Trust. ''Within Weeks'' = ''Not Months'' !!!! Therefore should not be too long now, before we hear news/update.

Population of UK (2021) = 68.2 Million
Total Population of Europe (2022) = 748.5 Million
Population of USA (2022) = 332.4
Therefore Total Population of US and Europe = 15.8 X The Population of the UK !!!! Admittedly a Positive view !!!!
On the basis that approx the same % of Babies will need our AIHL Test in the rest of Europe and the US, as in the UK.

I would not be surprised at all, to see IHC mention their agreement as distributer for GDR's 'Worlds First' AIHL Test in their Final Results.

The Genedrive® MT-RNR1 System screens infants in an urgent care setting for a genetic mutation that will cause lifelong hearing loss ("Ototoxicity"), when carriers of the mutation are given certain antibiotics. Those that carry the mutation can be given alternative treatments. MFT will become the first NHS trust to implement the technology into routine clinical care. The test will deliver a genetic determination of MT-RNR1 status in 30 minutes, from a simple cheek swab.

Q13: If this has not already been resolved by the time of the meeting, what is the continued delay with UK CTDA and are you aggressively pursuing this?

CTDA isn't in our control and they provide no timelines. We know that in total, as of mid March, the CTDA team had 219 applications, and 165 were still "in Progress". Only 33 had been approved, and 21 had either failed or been withdrawn. We have received technical questions from the CTDA team, so we know at least that our application is being actively reviewed. We contact the CTDA team every week, but they do not reply with meaningful information on individual applications.

Outside of these two new assays (AIHL and POC COV) there remains potential from our COVID-19 high throughput, Military and to a lesser extent HCV products. Each has the potential to provide attractive revenue streams in the short term, but without further clarity from customers our forecasts remain prudent. We expect HCV to provide a stream of revenue, but without funding to the developed world markets we do not foresee significant growth in the medium term.

On the 20th December 2021 we had 92,270,900 Shares in issue.
Calculus announced that their Share holding had reduced to 2,097,871 Shares.

Therefore, 2,097,871 divided by 92,270,900 x 100% = 2.27%.
Calculus had reduced their Share Holding in GDR to 2.27% (below 3% of GDR Shares in issue on the 20th December 2021.

The announcement yesterday states they have now sold all their remaining 2.27% Share holdings !!!

It will be interesting to see if those Block Sells of 50,000 + Shares cease or slow up when our SP rises 10% + over a day or two of Trading ?

I believe our Genedrive trained 150 Nurses during the Trials, and I have since read that they are Training 300 Graded/Banded Nurses - I am unsure as to whether the 300 Nurses includes the Trials 150 Nurses or whether they are on top of the 300 ?

Technology costs
The average cost per analysis is £80 per test, including consumables (buccal swab, sample collection tube, minivette and cartridge).
The Genedrive System costs £5,000 with a 1 year warranty, which can be extended at a cost of £750 each year.
Optional additions are:
• Quality control materials (variant and wild type) £100 for 4
• Bluetooth printer to print labels and charging cradle £400
• a roll of 200 custom labels £40.
The company provides training for free. Training for band 5 to 7 staff lasts around 15 minutes to 1 hour.

Costs of standard care
There is currently no standard care for MT RNR1 testing in neonatal sepsis. Expert opinion and company information suggests pyrosequencing and Sanger sequencing are the closest comparators currently available in the NHS. However testing usually takes more than 2 days, so is usually retrospective to investigate the cause of hearing loss after it has already happened.
The average cost of a pyrosequencing test is £212.29, adjusted for inflation to the 2021/2022 prices at 3.5% a year in line with NICE recommendations (based on 2017 pricing from 7 NHS labs). The average cost of Sanger sequencing is £190.81 at 2021/22 prices (Wallace AJ 2021. NW GLH Test Directory Price List 2021 to 2023. North West Genomic Laboratory Hub. Manchester, UK. From correspondence with North West Genomic Laboratory Hub on 05/01/2021, price for single target mutation validation test). Results are returned within 2 to 5 days on average but laboratory capacity and sample transfer can increase this to 2 to 3 weeks.
