Hi Safy,
I have always believed that to review statements, and check their meaning, and to listen to different takes on statements, is good.
Reading the statement again that you have quoted, very reasonably:
The May 22 RNS from GDR says this:
Following CE-IVD marking, the Company can commence commercial sales in the UK and across the EU immediately. The Company will now begin distribution to potential customers for initial clinical evaluations, and aims to record first commercial sales in June.
'I can see that the above statement, looks to be only pointed at the UK and the EU' ?
However, the way I read the meaning of this statement is:
'Now that GDR have the CE-IVD marking, they 'CAN' not only commence commercial sales in the UK and across the EU immediately, but that they can now also send out Test Kits for evaluation to markets all over the world '! The principal being that having the CE-IVD Mark will go along way in helping to get Country Specific Approvals, in countries outside UK and EU.
We know that DB said 'since receiving the CE-IVD Mark, on the 22nd May, GDR set about manufacturing 60.000 kits, to send out to global markets'. These 60,000 Test kits were sent out to Global markets, on the 29th May.
I have always believed that GDR are more focused on orders from Countries such as India and Africa, but that this would not stop them pursuing orders in the UK and EU. After all, what CEO would not want the problem of where to sell orders too first UK . EU. India, Africa, etc.
The fact that GHIF are into supporting Countries like India and Africa, in particular, and GHIF currently own 13.66% of GDR, kind of supports this theory to me.
I realise that not everyone will agree with my take on this, and see the statement as only talking about sales in the UK and EU, but this just to share my view !
I believe that orders have already been agreed, with some potential customers, and are subject to certain Approvals - why would this not be the case with GDR's Gold Standard Test ?
I also would not be surprised if Test Kits are being manufactured in readiness to export.
