My alert to consider selling is a 400. I have no reason to think that is not doable.
Deloitte has officially resigned as the auditor of Polymetal due to the firm’s ties with Russia amid the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
Polymetal is an Anglo-Russian precious metals mining company with assets in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Deloitte said it will not be able to carry out an audit of the company given that the majority of its assets and operations are in Russia.
The company’s board has now commenced the search for the replacement of an auditor.
This follows the announcement on 7 March 2022 that Deloitte’s Russian and Belarus firms would separate from the global network of member firms of which Deloitte LLP is a part of.
Meanwhile, on 30 March 2022, Polymetal reported that in Russia, sales of gold and silver concentrates continued normally to East Asia and Kazakhstan.
Polymetal’s operations in Russia and Kazakhstan are reportedly “undisrupted” and its production guidance for 2022 remains unchanged as the group’s scope of operational activities is “stable”.
There are very few trades, huge spread, the mm must keep a downward trajectory else they are selling any stock they have been obliged to take at a loss - and they never do that. Read up on what makers actually do ten you will understand why a market in the doldrums will only tend downwards.

This could have as big an impact as the war. Le Pen manages to turn the election into a referendum on France in the EU, she will win on the 23rd. Since the EU has no democratic legitimacy and will refuse to cooperate with nations not fully on message, the market reaction could be ballistic. The big worry is how the EU ha become completely intolerant to any opinion other than he commissions. Le Pen might finally result in the real heavily authoritarian Europe showing its face and we end up moving towards Russian style enforcements of narratives. By the 23rd, the auditor issue will probably be a minor side issue.

This is why Putin is so far from home. But why Belarus president has to be there is a mystery, perhaps others invited but subbed [China, India]?
sl.aging is a restricted word, ha
If they had found one it would be leaked and we would all be ****ging each other off on the morals of the obscene amounts of profit taking.
News alert service flagging up as anew story, ha, need to read with coffee eyes....

Deloitte resigns as Polymetal auditor

and the 'disclaimer' in the bottom right, explain that.
without a .gov link it is of no consequence.
Been watching the trades. Ordinary sells then automatic buys a few pence lower. The are some auto trade bots out there quietly and patiently mopping up trades with practically no auto sells.
As ever, LSE is a very efficient machine transferring money from pis to iis.
It's going to be a short wek [4 days with bank holiday]
Large amounts of Russian money held in Austria due to its neutral status. I wonder if Austria was summoned to Moscow to guarantee accounts will not be frozen. Has the penny dropped in Moscow, the west has the potential to bankrupt most of Russia at the flick of a switch and is showing intent. That is no peace mission, it's something else and it is something that is worrying Putin.
Not selling, high risk but high reward potential.
New auditor will be no issue, plenty about. The only sanction relevant to the company is the investment one and that would only come in to play if the company tried to raise more money with a RI. That isn't likely so not an issue.
4 day week and next in the market remember so appointment of new auditor more likely announced when market closed. Even if announced when open if you are out you will never get an order in fast enough to benefit.
"Equally, nice 128k share buy at 08:35 for 300p. :)"
That was probably a buy order executed on market open. The order may well have been set to trigger at say 270. It is triggered, the bot goes to the market and is filled at an average of 300 over the half hour, the bot takes it without question. I bet the individual who put the order in is bouncing off the walls looking at the average settlement price their broker got. It is why I never use orders [expect in the most extreme circumstance maybe once in five years] or allow negotiated orders. I ant to see the value before pressing the OK button.
The spread is huge again. This is a deliberate mm strategy to stop open day trading so they do not get caught out. Means the sp movement is significantly dampened discouraging day trading.
That means at some point it will oscillate outside the mm range [we've seen this on opening a few times now where there is no retail trade for some minutes.]
This will go nuts if there is an early peace deal cease fire. I will give a written guarantee the mm will suspend the share a number of times. I will also guarantee people using 'orders' will suffer huge losses since they will have no control over the settlement price with a market possibly swinging 25 to 50% each second.
Backpedaling up hill there. Kyiv not a real target? Oh yes it was, clearly described. And the other areas are heavily defended with territory going back and forth.
