the way i see it, this mine was being poorly run by previous company (emperor mines) for years, with too many personnel, and expensive operating costs, not to mention what seems to be exploitation of the workforce and therefore the community. that is why it was sold off a few years ago and now RVD have reduced personnel, reduced operating costs, built up new relationship with government, invested in the community etc and there is still loads of gold left. it was bringing in 100,000 oz per annum for years, but almost at a loss for previous co. now it will be in profit - IMO
