As posted before, even if staff costs were much higher, it wouldn't have made much difference to the profits PLT were making when full ownership occurred. Over 90m profit followed by 75m profit.

When it went into admin Misguided had a little over 300 staff. Boo is so bloated partially because it was covering off many brands.

Then maybe go and check the terms of the PLT takeover and ask yourself why a bit 4 accountancy firm would sign off on it if it was just a money extraction scheme for the Kamani family

This vote will likely be decided by the Ii's not the Pi's. Ashley can get feedback from them directly. So he'll know just as well as the BoD who is likely winning.

I don't think any of the major pi platforms would have submitted any votes by mid last week, so I don't think the surge in buys on Friday implies anything either way.

I'd be surprised if the Ii's vote against the recommendation they have been given. For that reason I think a BoD win is the most likely outcome, but I'm only 60/40% confident

In fy22 plt made £75m profit. In fy23, at the height of stagflation it still made £25m profit.

So in what way was it knackered long before Umar left.

In the year after the purchase, PlT made £75m profit. Even at the height of COVID, it still made a profit.

It started to underperform when Umar lost interest and left.

As far as Kamanis making money, they are also sat on by far the biggest paper losses

If Kamani gets voted out then most of the BoD will leave and Frasers will fill the vacuum with their own self interest

If Frasers lose then it may pre-empt a take over attempt or further buying, Their buying range has been from 35p downwards.

HL, which is the biggest platform, is accepting votes until tonight.

I doubt very much today has anything to do with the result. In what kind of strange universe are 4m shares traded out of more than 1.3bn worth a more than 8,% reduction in market cap.

This is all about bringing the SP back in to Frasers range imo
