Ziggy,
Try asking in the Frontera Facebook page and that’ll hopefully lead you in.
Bezzy
Coggy,
What do you make of the latest commentary / rumours on Woolworths?
Bezzy
Hi Looed,
Thank you for the update. Much appreciated.
Bezzy
Well said ODR!
49 posts already today on a delisted share - that's got to be close to a record! Anyone would think we're alive again.....
Bezzy
Thanks Looed,
I kind of thought as much, but naturally thought otherwise.
Do you think this aspect of the jigsaw needs to reach a conclusion before the “big reveal” might be able to happen (perhaps in another entity)?
Bezzy
Good Morning Looed,
Thank you for your latest post / update. That does indeed seem very encouraging.
In your opinion, when do you think the 2-3 month clock starts from? 30th November or 16th of January? The prudent part of me thinks from 16th Jan, but happy to be corrected.
Many thanks,
Bezzy
Morning Looed,
Thanks for coming back to me. I knew it was a long-shot. But I'm of the view "you don't ask, you don't get".
Fingers crossed the final pieces of the jigsaw are going in now.
Many thanks,
Bezzy
Hi Looed,
Referring back to your note of the 18th, re-posted below here for ease of reference:
"Please rest assured that the company continues to work in the best interests of all its shareholders. Whilst we are unable to comment on current events, we will provide an update to our Frontera family soon."
It's heartening to see things have settled down on some of the negative comments as we now await further updates from the company. I understand tensions are high, but we may now be so close to a positive resolution now.
On the theme of being close and the update coming "soon", do you have any idea or opinion as to when this might be? In the context of a 5 year journey, I guess this could be measured in hours or a number months. I just wondered if you had any sense of likely timescales from the company?
Thanks in advance,
Bezzy
Looed,
On behalf of those in the previously mentioned WhatsApp group, we’d like to express our huge appreciation and thanks for your continued efforts and dialogue with the company.
Thanks again,
Bezzy
Morning / Evening Looed,
Many thanks for working with the company to achieve the latest message. It’s gone a long way to soothe my neediness from the other day!
Kind regards,
Bezzy
Hi Looed,
Thanks for coming back to me and apologies for my later reply - been tied up in meetings all morning here.
It is good of you to share what you can, and I appreciate there will be certain things that cannot be said for fear of potentially tipping the scales the wrong way. We've been very patient thus far and hopefully we won't need to wait too much longer for a positive outcome.
I know there is a mixed response on this BB in terms of the reaction to developments and news. It's only natural with a diverse shareholder base that there will be a mixture of positive and negative reactions. I for one remain cautiously positive and hopeful of a favourable outcome for us all. I haven't heard " the fat lady sing" yet (good or bad!) and I still think that box wasn't (and still isn't) empty.
Good luck to you and the rest of our fellow shareholders. Here's hoping for very good news soon.
Bezzy
P.S. - That Zaza story - he's got some neck, hasn't he?!?
Morning Looed,
Thank you for the updated message from the company. As ever, it is pretty brief and does leave a lot of unanswered questions. I appreciate there may be a lot of careful dark arts / smoke & mirrors / legal shenanigans and processes going on in the background, so maybe that limits their ability at present to show the wider hand. However, (and forgive me if it comes across as a little "needy"!), it would be nice if there was something that clearly indicated that we investors are still on the bus, as such. The liquidation notice naturally gives real cause for concern.
Thanks again for your continued and future assistance,
Bezzy
Thank you Looed,
Much appreciated.
Morning Looed,
I couldn't agree more with your last sentence. I suspect others feel similar. Let's move on from this and re-focus our efforts on seeing a good result coming out of this very long journey.
Appreciate your continued great efforts.
Bezzy
Looed,
I would also add that I'm part of a WhatsApp group with over 100 members in there (some that have access on here, and some that don't). As a collective, we are all very grateful to you and for your continued efforts to keep us informed and maintaining the communications from the company from time to time.
I very much echo toatie's comments. Very appreciative of your input and opinions, Looed.
Bezzy
WHamBoy,
Was it not established for Moldova?
Dulwichman,
I was thinking about your posting. As is often the case with guarantees from joint parties, the creditor can go after the parties "jointly" (i.e. get the money from between them) or "severally" (go after just one of the individuals through whom they feel they'll get the most success of recovery). It effectively means that whilst the parties might have agreed between them to share the obligation 50/50, the actual outcome may not turn out that way (especially, for example, one declares themselves a bankrupt and the other remains a multi-millionaire - not saying that's the case here).
I would like to think that the driver here might in fact be Steve, rather than the creditor. If he has engineered a positive way out for Frontera, and yet it requires settlement of certain court cases (including this one), then he may have needed to agree to pay this full indebtedness to get there. I suspect Zaza is keeping his head down (in shame, I hope, as well!) and it is highly unlikely that he has agreed to share in the settlement here. However, I hope Steve has found a way to remove him from the board and relieve him of his shares for failure under fiduciary duties (maybe wishful thinking on my part!). It won't be palatable for Steve to honour the full debt, but in doing so it may unlock "the box" and the ultimate prize probably far outweighs the cost in this case.
Just ramblings on my part, but it could be close to the mark.....
All the best,
Bezzy
Afternoon All,
I don't often come up with much, and this may be of the same ilk. However, for those who may recall, we thought Ann Davies (of BP "fame") might have had some involvement in our site / reserves back in the day. She then moved onto a secondment to BP Lightsource.
I found out (via Linked In) that she's now returning as Senior VP for BP. Will this have any bearing on our case? Possibly, possibly not. Just grasping at straws, maybe, as I often do.....
Thought it was worth sharing, nonetheless.
All the best,
Bezzy
Morning Looed,
Many thanks for a very succinct summary.
Despite the numerous fronts, it actually looks reasonable "in control".
Let's hope for some resolution news very soon.
All the best,
Bezzy
