@isalingebruik
Its been a horrendous one way slide since LY figures came out, the interims didnt help either as the announcements lacked direction.
I think we can debunk all the takeover talk for now as well LOL
@regvarny
The problem here is (and its a big one) everytime SP slips like this it puts more reliance on the ESS sale to be above estimates. If ESS goes cheap it could and is likely hurt the SP even more.
As I said last week its unlikely anyone will aggressively target a takeover at this stage. There is far more sense just to wait and see where this ends up and try make sense of what is salvageable at that stage
As always DYOR diligently.......
@isalingebruik
Its not good for sure.
Yesterday we heard the same old nonsense, support at 25p....on the verge of a breakout at 26p......29p by the cob.
You have to laugh at that nonsense, clearly no idea whatsoever.
Its struggling to stay in the 23's this morning.
The real problem is everytime it goes down theres nothing on the horizon to give it any buoyancy. Will just have to wait and see where it ends up today.
Maybe JL the CEO being a geologist can call on some deep sea marine recovery specialists at some point ?

"Since my twitting campaign took off, I've managed to get a silent reaction from Schroder Plc by reducing a small amount of their major position in Capita"
Errrrrr yes you did.....they are your words and utterly laughable too
Ridiculous comment. LOL
@Owls
Thats sput on.
I'm still in tears reading that No Fear thinks his tweet made Schroders sell holdings yesterday LOL
You read some silly stuff on here and we've had some classics this week. These 3 are all firmly stuck in Room 101 together LOL
@Owls
Another classic.......
"Since my twitting campaign took off, I've managed to get a silent reaction from Schroder Plc by reducing a small amount of their major position in Capita"
So thats the real reason why Schroder sold today and why the SP dropped !!!!
LOL now that's what you call a twitting campaign .......
@regvarny
Pshy mentioned an imsurer has expressed they want to get out.
Schroders probably dont want to take all that on but another interested party might. But the other party may have a % voting rights in mind.
The equation would be the insurers holding switches hands. Schroders lets slide some shares at a loss to allow said aligned party to achieve %.
Schroders achieves a better outcome for themselves aligned tp their strategy for an irrelevant loss. They gain aligned voting rights without having to take on original insurers holding......
@regvarny
At this stage of proceedings voting rights will be influential.
There may now be another II who now wants to get out and allowing another to build a relevant stake.
Schroders may not be interested in gaining any more stake for themselves but may be partial to allow a new aligned II to buy in and join forces with them.
Slicing and dicing of voting rights......
@gotitwrongagain
As you say its no strategy to start buying @27p to start selling @24p
However, there maybe a number of II's conferring and reaching agreement amongst themselves and agreeing positioning for other reasons......
@gotitwrongagain
Its not always a case of follow the big money in a situ like this. That would be far too simplistic in this situation.
Schroders are enacting an investment strategy to protect their interests. They had even bigger money invested due to their original holding. This recent activity does not mean they believe a takeover is about to happen or the SP is sbout to surge on the back of a sudden turnaround in CPI performance. Such things dont happen overnight and both are unlikely in the current circumstances especially the latter.
The strategy for Schroders will be different to what individuals will hope to have in mind. Its wrong to assume strategies align like that. Always best to DYOR diligently.
@pshy
1. If that is true then there maybe a series of disposal sales over the next few days that will drive the SP down.
2. If there's only one ESS suitor left, then the competition is none, meaning no bidding war and the deal will be a take it or leave it situ.
