The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Are you really saying that after 4 months of headbanging all we can expect is a disappointment? the last rns was very encouraging " In order to maximise the opportunities to develop marginal fields, Enegi and ABT are reviewing the structure of its JV, ABT Oil and Gas and expect to make an announcement on this in due course." That tells me that WG are looking to take a stake in ABTOG, and I would be staggered to see that 4 months of wrangling in which we have had a one-month extension to an option agreement hasnt produced an agreement. We also know that part of the reason for the recent placing was to allow us to put some skin in the game. Why would we put skin in the game if there was nothing concrete on offer from the counter party? And why would we continue to develop ABTOG's licence portfolio if a deal wasn't in the offing to allow us to develop the kit that will be used to exploit the marginal fields? as always trust your research. if we just made decisions based on companies' previous failures there wouldnt be any point in investing in most companies in AIM
more order filling MMs will take 200k shares off me for just shy of 8p
Felt very much today like MMs were filling an order, they were hungry for shares all afternoon. Warming up nicely
just been quoted 0.8 for 200k shares. earlier this morning even a 100k dummy sell was going through to NT
these aren't people having a nibble, they're serious investors anticipating good news
31 March is also the deadline for the submission to DECC of the environmental report for the Fyne Field.
A couple of good volume days should see the back of them.
At full ask. Looking good
Nah, just a bit busier than normal. Keeping my eyes peeled here for some major movement soon
Bodes well for next week when I think volume will increase in anticipation of WG deal announcement a week on monday or tuesday. Always nice to see big money moving in, inspires confidence
Did they actually say the govt has accepted the wood report in full? That would be excellent news for ENEG
a few buyers nibbling here today, interesting that there's no selling. not surprised with company making news just around the corner
Interest should pick up as we get closer to the anticipated news. I topped up yesterday, couldn't resist getting in at the bottom although my average is slightly higher. Were those your 100k buys today? :)
could be a sign of things to come in the next few days.
I agree. ABTOG will be looking for WG to take a stake, but I'd imagine a company with a $7m turnover would want more than a piddly 5-10%. My view is that they will pay for a lice of ABTOG, maybe give us some money for back costs, and commit to development of the buoy/platforms. With an industry leader like WG on board it will be a lot easier to unlock the finance needed to manufactture the solutions. Out of interest do you have any info about when the drilling programme will kick off in NF. My sources tell me it will be June.
i'd be surprised if the investment is on that kind of scale. from my reading of events i think a deal with WG would perhaps bag ABTOG a bit of money but more importantly allow us to seek debt finance for the development of the buoy technology. that in turn would be a big step towards booking the reserves from the marginals we intend to exploit with that tech. i hope i'm wrong though! one thing is certain, a deal with a WG which has a $7 billion turnover would shoot ENEG into the industry's eyes.
cheers for the heads up. is there any chance you could put some more meat on the bones, your post was rather vague!
can we stick to the issues here instead of attacking personalities? into's got an opinion, if you know any different i'd be happy to hear it. he's bullish about this stock, and maybe he turned out to be wrong in the past. but he wasn't alone. simon cawkwell was bullish at 14p in 2012, but the company failed to deliver. now have you got anything that adds value to the current discussion around the companys prospects or are you just going to sit there sniping at others?
Do you have any meaningful contribution to make to this board? If not I suggest you jog on and leave it for those of us who do. Troll
