Tried to buy another half million on Thursday @.16 (at which time the sp was down 0.02 ) but no offers.
Looks like there is some resistance to sell at lower levels which is great news.
Incidentally I could have bought @0.17 ! Guess it will be a long time before we see that price again .
Now a strong hold and a buy on any good news .looking for 0.3 within the next month
There are many of us who have always asserted that the real value in Alba was in the Greenland assets. What price the doubters now. Some of us too have always remained positive and stayed with the shares as a long term investment. Hope that the 2p forecasters have it right but don't expect it to happen overnight. Well done to the directors for putting their money in st this stage.
Rome was not built in a day, however, look where it ended up!As I have repeatedly said , patience will prove its own reward so hang on in there. The next announcement ought to be about the dewatering permit or in abstentions then Plan B!
I am sure that the board are as anxious as we to reach a successful outcome and disappointed as we all are in the last 12 months there are still many positives about this business not the least of which is the 50% plus holding in Greenroc which now has the finance in place to take it forward.
So although not quite wielding picks and shovels there is some work going on in the background!
Patience people, really need to forget the emotion and poor sentiment and concentrate on the facts
1 you could have bought in at 0.005p 14 months ago
2 you could have sold at 0.56p 7 months ago
3 short of obtaining an abstraction licence nothing much on the negative
4 lots of positives on reserves and potential mineral bodies both here and greenroc.
5 I guess then this comes down to confidence in the board of directors so over to you guys to give us some encouraging news and start showing us that you mean business . We have been patient a long time
6 you have to feel for the folks who bought in 12p many years ago ( yes I know this was before the existing board appeared on the scene but there must have been some logic in the share price at the time.
Just not the right time to leave ( spoken with some feeling as my holding is now down 60%)
2022 cannot be worse than 2021 in terms of Alba, time is on our side as I have said a few times we just need to be patient, hopefully as I did last year I can find. Future or similar which compensates somewhat.
Difficult to understand markets, positive news but one buy trade valued at £92.01 can result in the value of my holdings dropping by over £2000, keep in there folks we have been around a long time and in another few years we WILL see some gold and then the price will rocket ??
Alba is an exploratory mining company not the royal mint so expect a cash call in the future to fund the programme outlined in today's RNS.
Much hard work has been done and much more remains, once the necessary consents have been obtained then a start can be made processing the spoil heap gold which will ease the cash call but make no mistake this is expensive stuff in the medium term hence the current share price.
There is just too much short termism with most investors I have always urged patience and this is still very much the case but the long term rewards are pretty obvious for those who are prepared to dig deep.
Short termism is not always the best approach. Get it right first time and you don't get bitten later.Agree very much with the comments on home working and the system breakdown this has created so hopefully once the furlough scheme is dropped along with city weighting allowances the penny will drop and we can all get back to work properly
This just has to be good news, particularly so the relatively small amount of work required to access the ' new lode'.
Patience people if it takes another two years then the jam will indeed be sweet and wholesome.
Methinks Mathew 8 verse 26 applies
I guess most of us following Alba have heard it all before in saying that this latest announcement adds at least £2M ( at current gold price ) to the assets and as such should serve to stabilise the sp at least.
Just done a little top up at 0.2443p so averaged my buying price down a shade.
It will take months before any positive action is concluded so just be patient, hopefully your prediction of north of 1p a share comes to fruition so enjoy the ride if this happens.
Does anyone out there have the remotest idea of when we might see some mined gold or processed graphite.?
Until then conjecture and sentiment will be the drivers not facts so just accept this is what the market does and the volatility thst has been apparent over the last year will continue so just sit tight and wait for facts to outweigh sentiment
Ce
In a changing world it is great to see that Graphite seemingly has a more positive effect on the SP than any announcements on gold.
Make no mistake graphite is the most tradable asset in this business gold is the icing on the cake.
Just be patient then all the seemingly outlandish projections WILL materialise but it is years away not days.
Still hanging on to my 7million shares through thick and thin having been around a long time.
Clearly this was positive news, my understanding is that 0.653g/t equates to 2.23 oz/tonne and 1.79g/t is 6.393 oz/tonne so very significant.
As I have previously stated the true worth of this business is in the Greenland assets and Clogau is just part of the icing on the cake.
The SP is merely reflecting the daily traders profit taking however this is the way the market works.Patience is all that is required we are all part of an extremely attractive business long term
Without wishing to lower people's aspirations please note that at 0.39p a share Alba is already trading at 4.33 times asset value .
Ergo we need to some really positive info to bring about a dramatic lift in the share price so 5X although desirable is somewhat unlikely.
I couldn't agree more I have been invested in this business for some years now and slowly added to the initial investment, all based on the businesses divergence, yes gold gets people interested but there is far greater long term prospects in the Greenland ventures than the gold in the Welsh hills, useful though it is
