But the in any case the CMA are generally a useless bunch of tw~ts, who like the FCA, and Environmental Agency are another quango consisting of people who are supposed to represent the public, yet often to look the other way when something is seriously adrift, instead of doing their jobs properly.

The stumbling block appears to be 175p -180p. If FNX manages to push through that area then there's a real chance of a significant sp breakout. Otherwise a slow descent to the low 150s yet again. Today most AIM stocks are in positive territory which is unusual. So FNX's gain is not an independent move.

Why? And what exactly is the 'Iran situation'? Oil is trading where it is right now because the supply is not being heavily disrupted as you might have been led to believe. Looks like Iran have been allowing the tankers through the Strait for the most part, despite the media trying to panic the public into thinking otherwise. As I write WTI oil is down to $69/pb, not much above where it was before the current conflict.

So despite the media and economic pundits consistently warning us that interest rates will increase and WTI oil prices will touch at least $120 this summer, every one of their panic predictions is now proving false - WTI oil price currently down to $72/pb), and bond price yields have steadily been in retreat too.

Yet the Strait of Hormuz is still closed, the IRGC still in place, but oil prices have been drifting ever since the original panic surge in April. So I presume Iran has probably allowed some if not most oil to pass through the Strait all along. Even recently the media are still trying hard to make a panic story out of it.

Yes the drop off was Iran fiasco🇮🇷, and the lack of rebound i would put to the threat of increased interest rates going forward.

Unlikely interest rates will rise. 10 year UK bond yields have dropped sharply over the past month as well as the price of oil, down to around $75/pb. That had hit $112/pb in April. So a 1/3 fall from the peak. Currently not uncomfortably higher than the oil price before the Iran war. It also begs the question whether the Strait blockade is really hampering the world oil supply, or was the oil price surge just stoked up by media panic. The Strait of Hormuz still remains blocked at the present time.

And Burnham would be utterly clueless if he ever chose Miliband as Chancellor. Ed Miliband has already annoyed countless millions in this country shoving his green energy policies down people's throats. As Chancellor it would be an automatic green light for Reform.

It's rather uncommon in this type of share. It stands out like a sore thumb. The same volume of shares nearly every trading day in a share that has little trading interest? I don't think any of those reasons apply here. Eg, why not sell the lot if you wanted to place funds elsewhere? What unit trusts have holdings in these shares?

For a few weeks now. on most trading days a seller is seen for 10,000 shares. Today it's 2 lots of 10,000. Got a feeling it's probably the same person offloading, considering what little daily trade is seen generally in FNX. But unless this guy knows something, then I wonder why he would offload persistently at such lousy prices?

Well, the IRGC will still be in place, despite the reprieve we might be getting, which like last time will probably be brief. And if anyone seriously believes the IRGC and Netanyahu have now decided to play nicey-nicey from hereon - erm, . . .

They've always had too high a debt over the years, and I believe that's the main problem stalling any real progress in the sp. Even when there's the odd surge in sp it soon falls back again. They need to bring the debt level down significantly. They actually borrowed to fund their share buyback scheme, which is frankly nuts. Why do so many companies find the need to jump on this bandwagon? In few cases is it ever warranted, and certainly not in this particular case, where the sp is still at the level it was back in early 2023.

I've seen enough examples in AIM stocks where the directors make huge mistakes. Eg KETL, WJG spring to mind. Here, a director bought 60.000 shares at 177 in January costing £106,000 and currently showing a 17% loss. More notable for me is that he hasn't been too keen to top up at these levels.

There's also the possibility that should FNX continue to thrive, but the sp continues to malinger. the directors will get fed-up and at some point they either take FNX private, or they're bought out by private equity at a ridiculous knockdown price. I've seen that happen a few times with AIM stocks.

I'll be surprised if there isn't bad news on the way. Maybe not immediately, but I'm expecting some profit warning within the next 12 months. We've seen this sort of thing so many times with AIM stocks - everything seems rosy, and then a few months later they suddenly announce it ain't so rosy after all.

Yes. That site and this one -tinyurldotcom/9t6tejfw both reckon there's considerable upside for HFG. I'll wait until the price gets down to about 490 before increasing my holding, though.

Yes. A relatively small fine £169,000 + interest, which is a relief, as I was expecting a much higher fine.

On a side note, shorts are now down to just over 2% on May 4th. They were showing at 3.78% the week before. Did some of these shorters get wind of this decision before it was announced. It just seems a suspicious coincidence to me.

Er no. They are not a screaming buy. They are still overpriced at PER (currently 15.7 for a company with huge net borrowings, a paltry dividend yield, which was stuck at 6c for years (now 7c -2026 ), and interest charges (2025 @ $68m) likely to rise when interest rates increase sometime in the summer. Much better value elsewhere.
