It’s a strange old world Lifeonmars. I was in Whitby all day yesterday and had a cracking day so stayed over at the Forest and Vale in Pickering. I got chatting in the dining room and bar to locals. Most of them know of locals/family working on some of the sites but know nothing of the progress of any of them. The only bit of anything was someone saying the “moley thing is cracking on a bit” so nothing constructive really.

No Bishop 190, it’s was one of out illustrious regional electricity companies. A good place to work but safety although extremely important was taken so far as to feel like persecution.

Apologies for the last post to many. The older you are the more you’ll understand what I mean, however I now see my kids work up to 18 hour days, get paid for 8 but can’t find other work. They can't get a govt. pension until lord knows when cos the goalposts move regularly. It’s a sad sad world we now live in and it is difficult to blame one particular part of the community because it’s been progressive through so many generations and governments. I sincerely wish I could live forever to see how it pans out. I truly fear the worst........or one day there will be a revolution! Sirius meanwhile plug away with what seem to be a happy workforce and fantastic ethics. Well done them . And in addition, try to find someone that works for them that will give you a progress update. Zero. Loyalty too. :-)

The only thing I can say Funkysausage is that if someone wants to take it over the longer they leave it the more expensive it becomes to them. The tbm is 2km in and from what I perceive the sbr is about ready to start. It de risks more each day that passes. It’s almost to the stage of put up or shut up tor people contemplating a takeover. I know there are a bunch of different scenarios but at this moment it’s all up in the air. On a personal level I hope we get some magical finance deal. Who knows except theBOD and CF?

Fastjet. Ur right. Company I just retired from would sooner you reverse into a space and put a sticker on your car than actually get to work and do your job. It’s a strange world we now live in. I wonder how it would be if we had to walk to work every day? Sorry everyone....now I’m in my last few years of life and contemplate on what I’m leaving for my kids( shares and pensions and property apart) I actually wish we could revert to the late 70s. Obviously not to the medical 70s but to the days when I actually loved to go to work and ENJOYED it. :-(

Lovelyboy, In my sprayway and Salomons today. Boggy after the rain but clear blue skies. Absolutely stunning on the moor top. Enjoyed it so much I’m staying over.

Hi JR. I wonder if it’s in the shaft? There was deffo a massive white machine in that area 8 days ago. I could see it through the trees. Nothing resembling that visible from any angle now.

If anyones interested I’ve been past Woodsmith, did as promised.........and nothing to photograph! What looked like the sbr that I thought I could see 8 days ago......well today I couldn’t see it. Cranes were in that area and there was plenty of activity. I did a walk the whole of the perimeter for an hour then carried on to Whitby. Plenty of Careys vans moving on the roads and traffic in and out.

I will be over at Whitby tomorrow. I’ll climb the fence and have a look at the state of play. Soon as I get back home I’ll update.

One thing I’m pretty certain of is when this share changes on any positive news, if you aren’t in you won’t get in quick enough to ride the rise because the good old algorithms will slow the trades. I’ve noticed that before when the volumes are high. I’m never sure whether it’s engineered that way or the servers can’t handle the volume. But, good luck everyone when it occurs. IMO it will not be long.

Hi yayay. I use HL. Never had an issue. Not the cheapest but extremely helpful if you have a query. My kids all use them. One has completed a pension transfer and never once complained. In fact he commented about the smoothness and easiness.......and he’s a real moaner about most stuff.

Aaah Cheated. The treasury is not there for the country! It’s only to employ people within government. It’s a joke. Could have been an excellent earner for HMG but they lack the intelligence to spot a good deal.

I wonder where the idea for “Yes Minister” came from? It’s actually beyond comedy and in real life a large source of stress to right minded people. It beggars belief that simple maths eludes them. There is no wonder I drink so much.
