I had a week in Ibiza last August and it was 36c all week. I moaned every day like a proper English person. No way could I have worked in that. I had an outdoor job all my life and used to beg for Summer after a long winter.....until I had to work in it with my gas torch burning. Moan moan moan moan.;-)

Temperature in those latitudes of Australia is now in the “low” 30s. I wouldn’t want to work flat out in that heat, but I suppose if it’s been 40 plus then for those guys it’s comparatively cool and a welcome change. For me it’s just tinny temperature. Hats off and a big thanks to them.

I take the biscuits, tea bags and coffee in for the girls that work there cos it’s rubbish otherwise. It’s a sad world we are living in. More-so as we age.

Hard work. My wife goes in a care home for one week a year to give me a rest. They deserve a medal.

I spoke with a couple yesterday hat had bought 2 new chest freezers and filled them. Barmy. What a waste of money and power. It beggars belief.

Ur right Gecko. I see as many as 8 multi packs of beans and 10 X 12 packs of tonic but no gin??????? Strange diet.

I just went in to pick my daughter up. Only me n and shelves already fillingfor tomorrow. Very area dependant. Ours was empty all last week.

I’ve thought about tenting on Kinder Scout until it’s all faded to a manageable situation. Aaah, peace and quiet but windy and wet.;-)

In addition , emergency workers getting special shopping hours to assist them in saving time and keeping them up with food. About time.

Daughters just rung from work. Morrisons are changing hours to allow more stocking and shelf filling time. 8a.m to 8p.m. She says it’s starting to ease off. I think people have either run out of cash or space at home. Saturation point just about reached.:-)

My Sony tv went pop 3 days after the guarantee expired so I threw it in a skip at work. A few days later I was passing the HGV drivers office and I could hear the World cup on tv so popped in. It was my b****y tv! Apparently they plugged it in to try it after they “found” it in the skip and it worked. Needless to say I didn’t get it back. :-)

Daughter works in a supermarket and says it’s amazing how much abuse she’s getting. Finishes late on Mondays at 23:30 and I had to fetch her home cos people were threatening the staff with violence when they finished because supplies were low. Like a schoolyard. “I’ll get you outside when you go home”! Unbelievable.

Glass half full bit of me says the “look forward to update” is better than “we will update as and when”. It sounds a bit more positive...as though they are as eager as we are. We wait to see.:-)

I have been a shareholder in Eurasia for some time now and read the shareholders boards on the internet. Many on these boards, including myself, are becoming more nervous about the current global financial situation and are concerned that we cannot access our investments in EUA. Many will need this money as a means to finance or support businesses and families as jobs are now being lost in many areas of the world. Is there any chance the company could update us via an RNS as to how the clarification of the relationship with CITIC, or any progress for that matter, is moving?

My other gold share has started to climb in the last hour. This one should start to climb alongside it. Can only be good from here. Anyone looking for a safe place to invest whilst the rest of the world collapses should look no further. :-)

Tiddlor, about a mile from where I live( Sheffield) there are as many as 3 families in one terraced house and maybe 20 people. It’s how some choose to live. Not right but that’s how it is.

Stressful Baz. My friend overwinters in Alicante every year. Been kicked out. Has to be away by tomorrow and absolutely no help from the Spanish. In fact just like yourself, he has had a change of rules daily. Getting very tight out there and we will probably have to follow. I suppose the only chink of lights I can find is my garden will look the best that it’s ever been.......and an enforced diet due to not being able to buy food easily may trim me down a bit. :-)

By the way...comments are not against all oldies...I am one myself. Just the few who seem so indifferent to what’s happening. I suppose some people are all about themselves.

Worst people abusing the rules seem to be 60 plus. The number I have spoken to saying it’s just a cough beggars belief. One of my neighbours actually said “I’ll cough on who I b****y like!” I’ve had people saying they lived through a war so a cough won’t kill them. Unbelievable.
