Imo some companies have been steadily buying in all week because they thought same as us re GDXJ. They may be below notifiable levels(just). Read an earlier post saying if it’s normal they’ll take out the stop losses first and then climb...probably correct. I never thought about stop losses. So, I think a good rise but maybe mid 20s, but I’d love more. The long timers have bl**dy well Earned this With their patience, so enjoy the short wait and absolutely murder Monday. :-)

Only wake at 06:45 cos it takes my eyes 15 minutes to focus! A sleep in will be a bonus.

I normally wake at about 06:45 on Mondays and check all my shares for an rns. I’ll not bother on Monday. I’ll log on from bed at 8 and watch.:-)

My GUESS is that it will go straight to 22 and then climb. Just sit and watch. :-)

Mercedesman, all we need to remember is that there are loads of snouts in the trough before we are allowed to feed. Good news for us is that we already have our snouts in. :-)

Mercedesman, you’ll probably get in at about 25p at 10:00 a.m when all the big buyers have Already bought in. It’s already sorted. No one gives A weeks notice to the markets. I’m glad we are all in before Monday comes because it will be very active.

If the numbers talked about are all true then Newcrest may as well buy before Friday cos that’s what I would do. Just seems like simple maths to me......however, I am simple. Can you say that in this age? ???

If I logged out now the rns would come. I picture the bod and buyer round the table with the banks all nodding and saying “ ah well guys, it’s Friday afternoon, job’s done we are all happy with £1.50 a share.......quick glance....bellers has logged off.... let the rns rip”. I’ve logged out and have a s***e weekend when for the sake of waiting 30 minutes I miss being drunk for 3 days. I’ll stick till 16:30. :-)

All my grandkids are with HL. Allows me to pay in for them. Having said that their prices are struggling today. Having to do dummy buys to get a live price.

Addicknt your old friend was very astute. I have pondered the same things many times. To put it in context for me, and anyone can verify this from my other investments, I am lost completely. Firstly I am an absolute car freak. I always wanted to buy a brand new maclaren. Yesterdays rises across my portfolio would have allowed it. However, I have now become used to looking at cash growing month on month and sometimes at an alarming rate. I am becoming just as excited at looking at the money growing As I would Be at looking at and driving the car. Ican understand, now, your friend feeling very comfortable with his life and relaxed all the time that no matter what came to him he could deal with it. An enviable position to be in.
