If essar m are in such diabolical financial trouble (which kindda links in with them not agreeing to their portion of development costs, nor agreeing to be paid off for their 20% holding via future production), then one can see that they will try pulling some legal shifties.. where it gets them is another matter..
The agreement was to get up to 80mill finance in from shorecan as a loan to essar nigeria which holds opl226... they have spent own money directly on project so its not like the level covered so far is zero.. they got 30 to 50mill contingent bank loan.. almost have 100mill service contract signed.. strategy behind these two last items has been dutifully explained by art.. so essar m claims are a bit flimsy...
Who knows how itll go..

If they close service contract or if its not signed by essar m then i reckon we all know who the nnpc will side with :-))
Particularly seeing that it appears that rosneft is not actually their mamma and pappa but instead its the previous outfit...
