Hi Forrest,
Not a stupid question at all, hear some talk that Yorkshire seed fund, which typically fund start ups may be reducing their holding.
I personally know of two private holders who sold up and moved on, just because of the price drop they were worried about their profits.
We know that there will always be a percentage of "forced sellers" who have to liberate funds for normal life necessities, and expect this to continue.
Some investors with a range of stocks will often liquidate the poorest performer to offset CGT in other stocks that have risen well.
We know we have been in that limbo downtrend since the early 80-90p days, and while we wait for the cash to start filling our coffers many will move on to more dynamic stock so will offload.
Actually believe it not the company's performance that is causing the sells, but in may cases not a full appreciation of how long it takes a start up company albeit with great products to get a reasonable income stream.
Anyone got any more info.or heard any whispers....???
