Because I see a pathway to no debt and many investment opportunities to take the share price to 200p plus !

And a resulting place back in the FTSE 100 in the Index’s upcoming September review, if the price gets to £4.85ish before Aug 31st and mcap above 4.7b

The major point here is that Smith isn't aware of the proposed terms of the Kenya deal and the Capricorn board will be.

Hence he's shooting in the dark while the Capricorn board are adding serious value for their shareholders. 330p for them is only possible if they stick with the Tullow merger. Exciting times for shareholders in both companies ! Good luck all, Stephen

Most of the $2/3 Billion they will be investing in Kenya will be going towards the costs of the pipeline etc.

Hopefully the Kenya elections will go smoothly and the newly elected officials can sign off on the deal with no delays.

Then we will be made aware of the terms in the company prospectus and have our two merging shareholders votes that will pass easily as by then 3.8 Tullow shares for each of theirs should give Capricorn shareholders value of at least 285p on their current company share price. Rahul is well in control of all this process we just need to allow him some time to bring it all together.

Hey Guys what a day !

An absolutely blinding deal pulled off by Rahul.
He’s just reduced my share of the company from 1% to 0.5% but wow what a company! Safe and cash position makes the debts look like nothing and easy to get rid of with 100k barrels per day base case and rising. Don’t even mention Kenya but that was the driving force behind the merger for sure now we can hold onto a decent sized stake. Onwards and upwards I feel excited. Good luck any remaining serious holders we’re now a proper company. Stephen.

90p is his old target, 190p now more realistic once Kenya signed on the line, But not by 3pm today !

What is most interesting is that our 50% of Kenya share at these oil prices would genarate circa $2.2B gross revenue PA !
Our 50% of development costs to get there is $1.7B so I'm quite sure a major will be prepared to fund all that and leave our beloved TLW with a significant retained interest. Kenya RNS soon anyone ?

Rahul has pulled another blinder here gentlemen.
REQUIRED to hedge 75% of baseline yearly guidance on production.
If company can produce circa 70,000 per day current hedges for this year equals only 60% of production.

Fantastic strategy to deal with lenders terms of business. A world class CEO and on we go. All good here. Stephen

Contingent annual payments to be paid on upstream revenues from the Uganda Interests calculated as follows: (i) no payment if the average annual Brent price is less than or equal to US$62 per barrel, (ii) 1.25% (net of tax) if the average annual Brent price is greater than US$62 per barrel or (iii) 2.5% (net of tax) if the average annual Brent price is greater than US$70 per barrel.

So assuming POO stays above $70 we get 2.5% (less tax) of the upstream revenues..Not to be sniffed at and well deserved TLW.

I think I'll stick around and wait as 2025 doesn't seem that far away. cheers. Stephen
