Who needs a fence when you’ve got a load of bushes?
Just read yesterdays board. Fantastic news . Really pleased for you.
I like your attitude Bon Scott. I totally agree with your thoughts, just not sure if BMN can afford to write off Lemur.....yet.
That’s an interesting development pb940. BMN tick some boxes for them, but I wonder if we would need to be divested of Lemur before we are a candidate for investment.
I agree Knuttie. The big benefit of leasing from a suppliers perspective is that they receive full invoice value from a trusted finance company, at time of delivery. Risk of customer defaulting on payment is then with the finance house, not the supplier. The customer obviously pay a premium to invoice value in finance charges over the lease duration, but they are able to fund a large capital purchase out of regularly generated cash flow over a long period. The customers accountants like it, as there is no huge capital expenditure which has to be depreciated over a number of years. Depending what jurisdiction the customer comes under, there are likely to be tax benefits to going the lease route, rather than one off purchase.
Vouch, at present it is very much still an asset, and will generate useful revenue. Much as I’d love everything to be green energy, we cant ignore that change will not happen overnight, and there is a very useable resource in Lemur, that will serve a purpose in offering a much needed power generation solution in Madagascar. I believe we will sell off Lemur, when the time is right, but we are still a good few years away from a zero coal economy in certain areas of the world. It is always much easier for wealthy countries like the UK to say no to coal, when we do have several economic alternatives available. It would be wrong for us to be too critical of other poorer countries, that do not have the luxury of a stable power grid generated from various sources. It would be good to think that power generation via the Lemur resource will buy time in Madagascar, to then invest in cleaner technologies for the area, but one step at a time...
Very true Alistair, but I’d feel mugged if it went for a mere £1bn.
All the best RichKen
Personally I quite like the idea that we will be properly exiting ATM in the near future. It will allow BMN to concentrate on core activities. The standby loan facility from BMN does not seem a large amount in relation to our current revenue stream. It also seems sensible that BMN are in a way protecting their investment in ATM to allow them to reach full production without being at the mercy of external lenders. Seems a win win to me.
Biggest share price change in a day I can remember from BMN
Is that a 26.90p buy I just saw???
Spot on Sanchez. All excellent points.

Wow! Now that was far better than any 1p Divi announcement. Far better to wait for 3 or 4p in a couple of years. fantastic transaction FM. Thankyou again.
In hindsight, i could have probably saved about £5000 if i had held off my last top up of 100,000 by a few days!
I have never been less concerned about £5000. I am very confident that in a years time, last weeks purchases will be seen as exceptional value. I do not trade, I buy when i can, and am holding until well after we are all receiving regular dividends on these. Congratulations to everyone who managed to up their holdings at the fire sale today.
Received £64,000 old pension transfer into my SIPP last week, and have now added another 100,000 BMN shares this week to take me to the magic million. The great thing is I still have over £31,000 left to add more! A million was always my target, just because the maths is easy, but maybe 1.1 million!
Apologies if already posted.

Looking at criteria of Norway’s investment policy, they are still retaining stakes in Shell and BP as they have clean energy divisions. So BMN could still fit criteria even with Lemur coal. Personally, I would still love us to sell Lemur, as it doesn’t sit well if we want to be seen as green energy. That would be a great RNS for me

It’s only a viewpoint, but some very relevant ideas, which all strengthen the case for a successful Bushveld Energy.

All the more reason they need to let BMN save the country some money and restore faith.
