The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Think I'll just let my RI shares sell. I am not in the mood to sink any more new cash into this. My existing shares will just sit at a considerable loss in my account until a time in the distant future they may recover but not anticipating they will ever be in profit again after the mega dilution. They are going to be about 75% down.
No.
CWU don't want the USO to go. Thats the problem. The 25-30,000 job losses would mean a £5million loss in revenue for the CWU in subs. That's the crux of the matter i think.
so, 2.66 RI shares for every 1 share you have, at subscription price of 5.55Euro . 39% discount on TERP. So Terp will be around 9.15Euro. There's a lot to take in however we kind knew it was inevitable, they took a BIG bailout from Govt post covid. Should make the business stronger however they really had no choice ,it was just a matter of how much and when. Now we know. To put more money in, or sell the rights? That is the question.....again.!
Just take a look at our fleet of 'vehicles' and make you own minds up as to how successful this business is. They are all bar a few, on their last legs, a bit like the posties. Nothing gets repaired, if so it's bare minimum and sometimes bodged with bumpers held on with zip ties and mirrors with laggy bands. 90% of the driver's seats aren't fit for purpose with no padding and bare metal showing. I would not at all be shocked if royal mail called in the administrators.
I really wouldn't bank on an upcoming dividend of 1.1% lifting this SP when it's dropped 14% in a week!
Ah bed and isa, i'm with you. Agree PSN seems cheap for the divi and debt and the fact we are short of housing in the uk. Let's see if the budget offers up some good news to shift this upwards again . Good luck Steve.
Also Steve, are you saying that you have already used your £12k CGT allowance this yr? It only drops to £6k next yr. If not, sell BP this yr and some more (not going above the £6k profit) and fund your isa with the proceeds up to £20k.
Just one thing Steve, if your broker is same as mine, Halifax, selling in account your proceeds are available almost immediately to re invest but if you want to move that money to another account it'll take up to 3 days from settlement for it to be available.
Sold today, too tempting £1800 profit in couple of days. Keeping an eye still though as reckon it's got more to go. Might regret it later but it's now gone into PSN so kinda related.
Use the internet. It's a wonderful tool for things like that. Joking aside, ex was yesterday so if you're not in yesterday you mised this one.
Steve, if your shares are in an ISA, what's capital gains tax got to do with anything?
Not too many FTSE stocks with that AND growth potential. I'm in for 25k ,sold shell for a decent price. This is better on both fronts ATM. Let's see. My mrs has held these in her account for a few yrs and is fair bit down but holds for the divi and I'm sure it'll recover above £2 . Good luck all ;-)
Why are some posters here getting hung up so much on the new price of one share? Just because it's a 10x higher price than it was, changes nothing. If you're buying say £5k of shares you still get the same deal, just 10x less actual shares.
On similar doom forecast as psn, has gone up today. Funny old game.
It costs much more to build a house now therefore less profit in it. Why would they build build build more at less margin to bring the selling price even lower with increased supply?
Gonna drag this down today, just as it was rising again too .
Ricky comes across as a very nasty piece of work, in my opinion, he's not going to take any postie along on his visionary journey planned for the business with the manner and attitude he has.
The royal mail line managers mantra on busy days or when they're struggling has ALWAYS been 'just concentrate on the tracked' . Always been the case. Ricky and Simon are just plain not telling the truth and should be prosecuted for saying otherwise while under oath.
Not doing well but all travel suffering today. Look at IAG with a good report!
