So in current mkts, I gues we'll see sub 570.
I think a big problem/cause of huge drops like this morning, is AI with automated trading and people setting stop losses. A drop triggers multiple stop losses to sell then the auto trading AI kicks in and makes it worse.
The markets are just rigged. Simple. Barc, lloy, ezj and now nwg, all hammered on not too shabby results. Big players taking money from the private investor. Yes they have said less NIM for next yr but there's no profit warning, cut to div (in fact EZJ reinstated theres and lost over 15%!). Just remember folks you haven't lost money till you sell, if you're down.
Probably get hammered down to 185 today. Grrr.
To sub 130 today. Probably will be again tomorrow. Profit to be had from here but no rush to get in I think.
Makes me think is it really worth investing anymore. easyJet was the same couple of weeks ago. Record profits, restoration of dividend, confident management outlook, massive reduction in debt.........and it's now sitting 15% lower!!!! If Barc goes same way I'd wait a while before jumping in on the hope for a quick rebound, especially with Lloyds and NatWest reporting this week. GL all.
Let's hope oil doesn't go that high, it would be catastrophic for an already fragile world economy.
Rumors for next yr, could help here god knows we need something to lift the SP.
Strange almost the day they forecast oil to drop into the $70's they recommend a buy for BP. All have their motives and it usually doesn't favour the little guy.
So close price was actually 394.
Bit pedantic maybe, however, how can the close of 391 on here be correct when bid and ask show 394??
With buys outnumbering sells by 4:1 this raid on the SP is getting very silly. Setting my sell order for 480 and switchings off for a few weeks. GL all.
£1m buy ordinary trade??? Is the tide turning and the big boys (or girls of course) getting on board?
On Google it's showing trades going through at between 400 and 416!!! Bonkers.
Analysis know what they see. They'll talk it down until they have invested enough, then flip their view. It's hiw they make money. As private retail investors we are at the mercy of these guys.
Somewhere, this is ridiculous. Every report on TV or press is positive about easyJet and yet it drops 8%? Especially as IAG and TUI haven't followed suit.
Although the travel industry is kinda related to covid, I don't think the EZJ board here is the place to be trying to debunk the merits of covid jabs really. Let's stick to the subject of EZJ. Covid is now classed as little more than a severe cold for now so let's talk about EZJ.
Well done to those who sold last week. I'll never learn, doesn't help when everyone you see on Bloomberg was saying $100 oil is a formality. Just shows ya, never listen to the 'experts', they all have their own agenda.
Err, no. At least I hope not.
So how much do we think we will get as a special divi for the Canada sale?
