Appears to be getting a bit short with others on here. Completely understandable given the current situation but let’s be nice to each other if we can. This has always been about MCPP and without it the dilution required to fund the other projects will kill this share dead. There is no point in kidding ourselves. The SEPCO buy in is make or break. Also, if LC’s special relationship (which I am not doubting) can’t make it happen in Tanzania why would anyone back him in other Southern African countries. KIBO will have a record of failure in every single project including mining of coal, power plant, Nickel and the various gold deposits. No one will touch it with a barge pole. Its crunch time.

I can’t pretend either that I don’t have a sense of unease with the regular (in some cases prolific) posters disappearing. I choose my words very carefully.

To think that MCPP is now much more about luck than judgement which is not really where I want to be by choice. I can also feel a move to focus more on Bots and Moz which again is not where I intended my investment to be. At 3.3p my hands are effectively tied unless I want to crystallise a 35% loss. In short I am feeling somewhat uncomfortable at present with the prospect of having to sit out another 2-3 years while the newer projects are worked up. Unless, of course, SEPCO ride over the hill with a buy-in way north of 3.4p. H5O is, unfortunately, absolutely right in that it’s way past time for KIBO/LC to deliver some (any) shareholder value in the form of a SP in excess of 3.3-4.25p for more than a couple of hours. Do you still hold H5O? You have been around for a very long time but I wonder if you have now completely sold up?

Strangely I would be less surprised if we didn’t.

Thanks Mizman. I have been in contact with them too and to be fair they have been pretty responsive. I think the problem is that the company do not have anything to say at present. I. E. They are as much in the dark as we are which is about as bad as it gets given my belief that Louis has an inside line to the GoT.

And that’s neither a moan or deramp. Just an honest view.

I don’t know what to think. Are we still in a PPA process? Awaiting a SML? Are SEPCO still expected to buy-in this week? I suspect the answer to all of these is no and we have entered yet another unspecified process with no end date. Unless there is some serious clarity providing the possibility of a potential short term positive outcome I see the SP sub 3p in pretty short order.

Hello Dave. More of a feeling of being ground down by the whole shambles. a,b, and c yes but along with more reliable route we still have no idea of timescale so we may have just added 6 months. Regarding PPA, SML and SEPCO buy-in I genuinely have absolutely no idea whatsoever. I was waiting for all 3 to arrive ‘shortly’ now I don’t know if we are talking next week or some time in 2019.

With no follow up from the Tuesday RNS. Tells us that no one knows what is going on.

Could be as many as 200 dead on the ferry. Absolute tragedy. Puts our KIBO concerns into perspective.

I am just hoping that this was not just random new policy which someone at Tanesco cobbled together over his lunch break and now they no idea where to go with it. Either way LC needs to find out what’s going on.

I would hope that our close relationship with the GoT would enable some clarification today. The difficulty is probably not so much getting access to the right people but finding someone who actually understands what they are trying to do.

Hopefully for a clarification RNS in line with Louis’ expectation of a ‘couple of days’ to understand the implications of the tender process.

It’s an absolute mess at the moment. LTH’s (incl. me), just like the company itself haven’t got a clue what is going on. I echo Sonic’s earlier plea for a completely clear and equivocal follow on RNS explaining exactly what is happening.

Thanks guys I am aware SEPCO will not be buying in the market but will be buying an extra potential 110m shares. My point still remains that no one would expect to obtain 15% of the larger company for about £6m. A larger company who will by definition have SML and PPA either in hand or guaranteed other SEPCO won’t buy in. As I have said before why would SEPCO be gifted a huge chunk of the business for a measly £6m when they will make 10’s if not 100’s of millions from their build contracts for KIBO power plants. .

Also anyone buying 100m+ shares in the market would force the SP much higher.

Done deal not fine

I think SEPCO investment = MCPP fine deal. At this moment this feels less of a done deal than it has for a long time and the SP is reflecting that. Things could change very quickly though. We need that clarification RNS (including where we are on PPA and SML) sooner rather than later.

I am hoping for a clarification RNS today on exactly what the tender process is all about. I would love to see the SEPCO investment but can’t see it happening without an SML and PPA in place.

I think it might be pertinent for me to repost an extract from the reply from St.Brides. ‘As I understand it, the pre-qualification process is not by default a deviation from the unsolicited project process that TANESCO and Kibo engaged in but rather an expansion of the existing process which may provide Kibo the opportunity to add a further 300MW to its current 300MW portfolio for Tanzania.’
