I have asked St. Brides for clarification of the tender process. My understanding of the reply is that it is better (i.e. in the company's best interests) not to say anything further at this stage as the process is highly sensitive. Read into that whatever you wish but surely we are not at the very beginning of yet another process which will take us well into 2019? The bottom line remains that this is 100% dependent on the GoT who have an atrocious track record here.

Its bad news to the extent that it confirms (we all knew it was coming) yet another delay. This may well still be when not if, but the timing of the when is still of importance.

Mike - I genuinely have no idea what happens after tenders are opened. I presume we will, just like now, remain the only really viable short term route to some serious energy delivery in Tanzania. I don't know why the tender process has been introduced and what, if any, are the implications for where we are with the PPA process.

Mike what is your understanding as to what does happen after the tenders have been opened? That is a genuine question.

Mike - a disingenuous reply. Please read my post. I refer to history and do not attempt to state factual timelines. Please let me know what the next stages are after opening tenders. No, you can’t because none of know. That’s my point.

The only thing we know is that the tenders are being opened on 18th. History tells us they will then be left for a few months. This could well be going nowhere in 2019 unless the GoT actually pull their finger out at some point.

Full marks for letting us know today. Disappointing but expected. Yet another date which is there to be missed. We know the delivery date for the tender bid but we have no idea how long ToG will then do nothing with it.

Morning Dave. Thanks for the positive shout out a couple of days back.

Let’s just remind ourselves that the SML is a huge step forward. There is absolutely no point in the GoT issuing it unless there is a clear path to mining and power production. One of the prerequisites before it can granted is to demonstrate that funding is available so it’s granting also confirms that crucial piece of information.

Never sold a share Magnet. The last week has been challenging though to be honest. Proof being that I cannot bring myself to average down at current SP but that’s mainly because I am already heavily committed. Let’s hope new SML status has a positive effect tomorrow. Let’s be clear if SEPCO buy-in at any price over current SP it will be a huge boost to MCPP.

Keith. Good point. It’s really weird. It’s almost as if 3.3p suits someone’s agenda. Maybe we all now think 5p for a SEPCO buy-in is great whereas 10 days ago our average expectation was something like 15p. Just saying.

I have been in contact with St.Brides and suggested shareholder access to LC/BOD would be helpful at this point. If this week comes and goes with no clarification update and/or SEPCO buy-in update (we don’t have to wait until after 30th as that was a backstop date) I will not be impressed.
