So, Thursday night (8th April) I see this kid (I know him) with 2 massive Helium balloons.... A "1" and an "8". I asked what he was doing... He bought a massive set of numbers for his girlfriend's 18th birthday... I asked him where he's been, he said town, I asked where in town, everyhting is pretty much shut... He said the card place.... So I was puzzled. I said Card Factory? The blue shop opposite Game? He said yeah... I said that's impossible you must be mistaken, he started to swear to god yeah I been to that card place. So I'm baffled and let it go... Then today Friday I see this kid again. And I ask him are you sure it's card factory you went to yesterday? I even went on Google Street view and showed him the Card Factory shop in town and asked him again, are you sure you walked into here on Thursday and purchased the helium balloons... He said yes, looking at me like I'm a moron. I started to tell him it opens on the 12th, he starts looking at me like I'm stupid, and tells me I bought it from there and there were other people in the shop.... I asked him if he paid cash or card .. he said card, I said ok, show me on your online banking... He showed me £19 something... But get this, the Online banking said the store name was "The Original Factory Shop." He is adamant he walked into the card factory, and our town doesnt have an "The Original Factory Shop"
Am I going nuts???????????????

Anybody got any idea what's going on here? These are listed as buys... The price supports that if you look an the intraday chart as the SP is taken up to 317p, but the drop after is baffling... Are these actually sells?
Lovelace1989 you haven't missed out at all, it will still double from here, previous research still supports this to double and beyond. Taking into account online personalisation trends we should eat into Moonpig s market share for fun once the ball gets truly rolling. Also once Card factory shops are open we should increase market share from eating up Clintons and Paperchase customers. Everything is pointing in the right direction now
I think HBO Max will definitely be bypassed, Godzilla Vs Kong was available in 4K HDR Dolby Atmos ripped from HBOMax withing hours of being "Released". At least with direct cinema only release they can control the online piracy for a few months... You'll be amazed what this will do for box office figures
You are kind of right there kids&castles, however the stores will not be asking staff to stay on to cover extra hours, they will build staff rotas to avoid having to pay overtime unless they really have to. Also no guarantee that they will even stay open that late, management will already be discussing the opening times, most likely I feel they will be sticking to original hours... Also allowing all stores to open till 10pm is for the best in the long run, so covid spread can be slowed
Yes tom8080, this will be incredibly good for Card, not only have we been laying the foundation for our online offering and transforming of our stock into a growth share, we have expanded into over 400 Aldi stores with Card Factory consessions, we have enough liquidity without needed any extra debt (our debt isn't that high anyway), we have a new CEO who will lead us into a new profitable higher market share future, when stores are open we will have profit and cash ringing though the tills...
G-Money, not only is it a good working business model, but they are now starting to see the future and increase their online footprint, slowly adapting the app and webpage, ironing out issues etc, then they can start advertising and eat into Moonpig and funky pigeon. The possibilities for Card Factory online are endless, cards, gifts, balloons, flowers, personalisation etc
Looks likes the banks are happy to lend money to card, no doubt past pre covid profit, new consessions in over 400 Aldi stores, new takeoff of apple and Android app stores, new online store and new CEO are now adding weight to a new future for Card Factory, a future that Telios Capital can see (and probably had some sort of inside knowledge off, or why why they top up? ;-)) and most importantly the wider market can now begin to see.... This should lead to a nice share price re-rate, and also points to no RI, which means no dilution for us. Also went on the Card Factory app on my tablet for
my mother'ss Day purchase... Quick message popped up saying all normal cards had sold out so why not buy a personalised card with free 1st class delivery.... Business looking very good indeed.... Can't wait for the Monday morning boom.
Looks like F9 has been delayed by a month, apparently they see June as when cinemas will most likely bounce back. Seems fair to me, we are at a good price with light at the end of the tunnel, I bet studios are starting to scramble to get their movies out at the best time with such a backlog of releases from everyone to compete with, which his good for us hopefully
I'm not convinced they are sales, more likely that they are buys, if you look at the price paid for the 2 large trades, you can map them roughly using the chart for the day and volumes, it's not sales, they paid a slight premium to fill them orders
Polaris increasing....
App updated today in the background (Android)...
Was very surprised and happy to have a push notification from the Card Factory app stating I could have a personalised card from as little as £1.79... So they are on the ball now
Hold your horses there Lewisham, the whole country is going to want to Cineworld and spend all their money on ice cream, pop corn, tango ice blasts, tickets etc .... Back me up here latpulldown! Lol. But in all seriousness China n Asia market has shown a massive recovery of cinemas and in some cases an increased demand from pre covid levels, cinemas n cine will benefit greatly....
