If they split the company, then the Kaz section is worth approx £6-7, and will reach these levels without the russian association. I wouldn't sell a single share before these levels are reached. I'd probably keep the russian part of the company as well, as although this would trade very low to actual value. A peace deal would also see this element rocket. Not bothered if they cancel or reduce the divi in May, as cash would be better served paying down russian debt or some sort of buyback given depressed share price. Only boris can ruin the party for us holders.

Yes you are missing that in effect Ukraine has had a civil war for many years now in the east. it's just that the West wasn't bothered. Banning the Russian language in schools didn't help neither did baning some opposition parties that were pro Russia rather than pro eu.

He won't give up the Crimea and eastern provinces even though they haven't had control of them for 8 yrs now. Putin has stated that one of his key demands is that the Ukraine needs to recognise that crimea is russian. pres z is not getting it back,he is deluded if he thinks he will push Russian out of the crimea. Therefore this is a big sticking point with regards to peace, as is the status of the eastern provinces.

Pres Z still dreaming if he thinks he is going to get the Crimea back from russia, maybe the eastern regions could become fully governing within Ukraine, but even this would be a climb down for putin. easy to make progress on the Russian language front, as never should have been banned in the first place. Unfortunately many more will die unless it sinks in to pres Z that he is losing ground and the West is not riding to the rescue with troops and no fly zones. I think sanctions will stay on people who the British govt say are part of Putin's circle for political reasons, but more general sanctions will be relaxed in the event of a ceasefire and agreement. It is a bargain if you think that sanctions will not be increased which then impact poly or shares suspended / removed from lse. Overpriced if the aforementioned does happen. Place your bets.

If poly can carry on without sanctions being ramped up then great. When some sort of agreement is reached over Ukraine the question is will Russia still be seen as an esg. No go zone, so the institutions don't buy back in, or will the potential for increases in poly value influence them more. This will not end unless one side wins military wise or a compromise is reached. Will Z.let the Russian majority areas go, long term Ukraine might be better off. I think it will be a harder sell for Z to give up on joining the eu. Time will tell.
