If there is a big seller why don't Mms move the price up? Generate demand and sell the big seller into it? They make their commission and he price moves withou them risking any kind of short themselves. They can still play the drop game after the rise to shake a few out and soak up some shares so win win for them?
Dufercos intention to hold was queried some time ago and the board 'consensus' was that they would be a cornerstone and want to hold knowing what was in store for Vanadium.
I guess we will see eventually when someone bothers to advise the market :). There may be many looking at their portfolios in these topsy turvy times but I am surprised anyone is selling now with the expected commodity bull run. Mind you I she always thought the sp would not rise somehow until JSE listing, we will see.
"You really have to be thinking long term in this one to reap the real rewards"
This is very true and also the reason why there is so much discontent/disbelief around BMN. The project has always been a long term one but we are not seeing incremental improvement in the value as things develop. When I first invested 3 years ago everything was imminent, the price will rerate soon, coiled spring, cheap as chips, just hold etc etc yet despite all the progress we are still below 20p and I and many others are underwater. The question the market is waiting on I think is "how long" and maybe even "show me the money" as thus far it has just not believed in BMN. Right now everyone is saying the same as three years ago. I really think/hope this time it is different and we are on the cusp but I hope any progress is presented so the market can understand and attribute value so everyone can benefit finally. I think JSE has always been an integral part of this and "when the time is right" has a certain meaning which does not actually refer to current share holders needs.
Whatever happens I will be a BMN holder for many years but like NiNvestor I am not sure Eskom tenders will see an instant significant rerate unless the market knows how to value the new business won. This is where the board will really need to engage with the investment community imo.
Great to 're China prices now $35.25!!! Even without Eskom we should do well long term (hopefully also very short term) :)

We can hope, that would be stage one of my plan if I was about to re launch Bushveld Energy / start making some noise about JSE, FTSE main or contracts etc.. ie everything we are hoping for.
Lose the dirty uninvestable element in the portfolio, then focus minds on the green credentials.
Yes...
I believe it's all linked with JSE and allowing company value to benefit SA not just beneficiation of resources. Its very noble and I have no real issue but I do feel UK investors and the sp are not really a concern presently hence the nature of the comms and disclosures.
The project is grand in their eyes, perhaps a calling...sorting out Africas power. This is great and very noble and is their sole focus. UK listing is part of the strategy and a means to the ends and PIs are not a priority with only minimal comms and market updates as required by the LSE adhered to.
I will be proven right or wrong once we are JSE listed and see the comms explode and many questions answered with a new focus on investor relations.
As said this is just my view as I can think of no other reason for the poor comms, unless they truly don't care or don't understand in which case we are screwed. MN's comments on linked in advising of dozens of prospects on the way summed it all up for me recently, I think the poster he replied to irritated him and he let slip, why investors cannot be told there are things in the pipe I do not know, unless the above premise is true. You can only hide behind confidentiality (which is a theory from this board, not an excuse from the conpany) for so long as reason for silence, they dont have to give names or commercial detail but could give us an idea of what is happening without guarantees of course as nothing is done till signed etc.
I am not criticising as if true it is very noble and nice that the West will not just take all benefits FROM African resources.
Open to debate but I just don't buy that everything BE has done in 5 years is secret
Again...
Understand the frustration yesterday.
Thank God the V price is rising so quickly.
It's AIM... so its actually perfectly fine to take everything on "faith"...
I'm hoping BE RNS will be like London busses.
Would it not just be easier if, for example you can buy shares with your own money. Sell your own shares when you chose and that's it... all this buggering about with options, borrowing stuff you dont have (without the present owners permission I may add) just creates more opportunity for things to go wrong. I appreciate I am a luddite 're markets bit I just think there is too much funny stuff going on and those in the game are so used to it they cannot step away and think whether it is actually a good thing.
The short argument is a classic, how can it be ok to borrow shares you don't own to attempt to push the price down to allow you to profit and the owner to suffer, of course the entity allowing borrow profits as they get a few... = Bent in my view. Shorting not needed as the market will correct in time and people won't buy if they think it's overvalued.. eventually.
Of course the snouts won't agree
As said I'm a luddite but suspect we may see some horns pulled in due to recent events, until confidence or wins returns and new ideas to make money out of everyone come to the market.
