Agreed RMM. This is their opportunity to seal a deal, which if successful will not be too far away. The added evidence of a potential Covid treatment will also have helped IMO.

Nice find Krone. Hopefully, this treatment may well have a role to play in treating Hospitalised patients. But there is still much to play for in my opinion. The cohort was only 19 patients - 11 on supplemented oxygen ( 72% of these saw improvement) and 8 on mechanical ventilation ( 50 percent saw improvement). This is a very small sample and there is no comparisons given to what the current recovery rate is for supplemented oxygen or mechanical ventilation. There will still be a need to test out and trial a range of alternative approaches.

Latest news on BBC is that vaccine is not likely until at least mid 2021 and then they will not know how effective it is. Giving Tim used the words compelling evidence for the treatment of the Covid cytokines storms I would expect him - as a public duty- to be very proactive ie making contact with potential partners, so that a partner, grant or licence could be made as soon as possible. Asking interested parties to get in touch is simply not enough given the potential here.

Fadec - Sareum would not use the word “compelling” in scientific terms unless findings are really convincing. Surely we will get a partner soon to investigate Treatment of the Covid Cytokines storms!

My take on this (ie a guess!) is that Tim etc have been in discussions with a number of interested parties, because it will be well known that SDC-01 is the last second generation THK/ Jak 1 available for sale and that it has demonstrated low toxicity. This alone is bound to have attracted a lot of Pharma interest. What may have happened is that offers have come in which Sareum deem to be unacceptable - they are clearly looking for a deal with a large upfront payment. These negotiations take time especially if you are dealing with a number of interested parties. And during this negotiating period they have not until now been able to raise funding to progress the molecule due to the low share price. The Covid Share spike has given them a window of opportunity to raise funds which they have taken. This puts them in a stronger negotiating position going into clinical trials. So I feel more confident that a good deal for the company and its shareholders can now be obtained. As I have said earlier this to me means an exciting time leading up to clinical times which hopefully will be around the end of the year - as per Tim’s timetable.
All just a guess.

Nice posts Stoney- Clearly shows there are toxicity IssueS with most of the more advanced Jak inhibitors. If SDC-01 demonstrates low toxicity and efficacy over a range of inflammatory conditions then the sky’s the limit in terms of revenues. It’s a big if, but it’s going to be an exciting next 6 months finding out. Bring it on!

If the share price had gone up 20% today most here would not have sold. Did we sell when the price reached 1p recently - no. Would we have sold even up to 2p?
If you believe the science is good then the current share price is irrelevant as far as I am concerned. I an here for the end game - it’s all or nothing. A big celebration or lick our wounds and move on. That’s what gives me the buzz.

Andy - I share your frustration having been here longer than you. But SAR were never going to get the deal that they want ie a large upfront payment, when they had little Capital to progress SDC-01 and SCD-02 themselves. I believe rightly or wrongly that this raise will result in a deal sooner and with a better upfront payment. It’s difficult but we are nearing the end of our journey so It’s s....t or bust - but definitely no selling and moving on!
