Hi Olpps, it's in the picture in the article. so that won't be out of the blue. So it is really specified: no extra risk.
the newspaper in Flanders refers to a study done by the French Institut Pasteur, a French research institution, which mapped out where you run a higher risk of being infected.
The location alone does not explain everything, a lot also depends on your age and background. For example, among people over forty, the chance of a corona infection increases by 30 percent for those who have students at home and even by 90 percent for those who have young children. Those younger than forty have a 340 percent more chance of becoming infected – older than forty this “drops” to 150 percent – ??at a dance party and 90 percent more likely at a café.
But the risk can also increase en route. Anyone who takes an airplane must take into account a 70 percent more chance of an infection. Sharing a car or a long train ride is 30 percent more likely. A taxi even at 50 percent more.
The graph of the Institut Pasteur was given to the members of the Consultative Committee for illustrative purposes. So that they could take it into account.
Remarkable: NO INCREASED RISK: shops, theaters, terraces AND CINEMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday we went to Ghost Busters in Kinepolis Belgium with the whole family. We were surprised by the measures that had been taken. In total we were 6 people. Our family could all sit next to each other in the same row. But the far left of us, and the far right of us, as well as the row in front of us, and the row behind us had to remain empty. In other words, the hall could not handle a capacity of 50%! What are the current corona measures taken in the UK? and in the US?
you have to see it positively. we have reached the lowest point since a year and have risen more than 5% since then.
you have a big point there. making the comparison between those two people is actually an insult. Sorry for that. And you don't laugh at others either. I do think we understand each other.
Hi PW, I'm not saying he already knew about that, I'm not saying he wasn't already aware of that...
What I do say is that I don't filter anyone. And so I read as much as possible opinions, discussions, points of view, ... unfortunately also insults towards different people. that's too bad. and in the end, whether we like it or not, that Pawelhupelepup ;-) has already been proved right several times. The only thing you can blame that person is his way of writing something down. he should be more nuanced. he shouldn't be so bold. (at least my opinion) NoFear could do that. I so hope he comes back.
Beta variant: the beta variant has been circulating since June... so everyone could have already known about it DYOR. One of the mutations identified (N501Y) had also been reported in South Africa, where
it arose independently of the Alpha variant (30). This variant is defined by eight mutations in the
spike protein, including three substitutions (K417N, E484K and N501Y) at residues in its receptorbinding domain that may have functional importance. Thevariant, named 501Y.V2, lineage B.1.351,
initially referred to as the ‘South Africa variant’ but now referred to as the Beta variant, has been
reported from a total of 95 countries, but became only predominant in Southern Africa. In Belgium,
the proportion of the Beta variant in the baseline surveillance initially increased to 7%, but then
decreased. It was detected in only 0.5% of the samples in the period of 28 June-11 July 2021 and
remained under 1% since then. The decrease is probably a result of the sharp increase of initially the
Alpha variant, and later the Delta variant.
Preliminary results, using a mathematical model estimated that 501Y.V2 is 50% (95%CI: 20-113%)
more transmissible than previously circulating variants in South Africa (31). However, the more rapid
spread could also be partially due to the reduced neutralisation by antibodies. Laboratory studies of
a limited number of patients from South Africa showed indeed that the variant is less susceptible to
antibody neutralization by COVID-19 donor plasma, raising concerns of a possible increased rate of
SARS-CoV-2 re-infections (32,33).
The above mentioned study coordinated by the ECDC, included 436 B.1.351 cases and found an
adjusted odds ratio for hospitalisation of 3.6 (95 % CI: 2.1 –6.2) and for intensive care admission of
3.3 (95%CI:1.9 –5.7) compared to non-variant cases (25). This appears to indicate that the variant
causes more severe disease.

Hi EUCINE, I really hope so. we didn't hear anything yesterday regarding cinema visits.... only that the mouth mask will be mandatory again. But I am afraid of the reaction of the people. normally my wife and I would go to Gucci in kinepolis Gent yesterday. but my wife was scared, so postponed. also our complete agenda of Thursday kinepolis, Friday friends who would come here for dinner, Saturday visiting friends and Sunday family trip, everything postponed. it is as if the population (including us) is putting on the brakes themselves.
Kinepolis Belgium, where I live -8.81%. European stock markets start sharply in the negative due to concerns about a new virus variant. The new virus variant that has appeared in South Africa is causing investors the necessary fear. European stocks opened Friday with significant losses.
In Brussels, the Bel20 star index records a loss of about 3 percent after a few minutes. In Amsterdam, the AEX kicked off the trading day with a 3.2 percent loss and Paris plunged about 3.7 percent lower. The Frankfurt stock exchange opened about 3.2 percent in the negative, in London there was a loss of more than 3 percent. (source: nieuwsblad.be)
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*******************************T
all correct Smalltrader! good to repeat that!
I suspect it will be a CCC ruling. (Cineplex Cineworld Covid) This would mean that we could have a precedent for future lawsuits... That's why I suspect that after the next ruling (whatever the result) there will certainly be an appeal. So I guess the final verdict will have to wait a little longer. so the money is parked. for a while. Had a good conversation with the woman yesterday. We've been in it for over a year now. I'm not going to sell for a small profit. The journey is therefore too long. just watch and wait. I don't sell below 300% profit. patience, patience.
look at 'All previous disclosures in CINEWORLD GROUP': Polygon Global Partners LLP 0.40% 11 Nov 2021. But their % short went down enormous!
Haha i know the feeling danster123. Still on good profit with my first purchase, but well on the loss with my second purchase.... but no frustration here, I have time, and the luck that I don't need the money.
hey danster123, that's more positive ;-)
Hi Danster123, bwa, I think that's pretty negative. Everything depends on your entry and any further purchases and your goal.... this is really different for everyone.
Today is one of those days where I look forward to the opening price....
Hopefully at the end of the day there will be something left of that increase
It's pretty quiet here today. There is little activity. I wonder how many of us have actually invested in CINE, and how many are holding cold blood. I hold, I don't sell. When I sell, I will have a decompression party. I will have earned that! We all! keep the courage in it and believe. I don't think there is much else to report.....
I'm just thinking out loud.... did anyone think that the massive management bonuses for achieving stock price, were aimed at preventing massive sales, rather than actually achieving them?
