The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I've been here for some time now. It had crossed my mind to sell and swallow the huge loss. Contrary to thoughts, I did not sell. In other words: Whether it ends completely badly, or gets better, I will be stuck with this for a very long time. Suppose we are at a price of 3p, and we are up 50%, then I have a less loss to be diluted. Just hold and don't gamble with pennies you need. That was my only luck. That's what I want to pass on to others. Good luck everyone and hoping for better times!
Hi Bonkers, I've been here for some time now and have experienced the 'glory of 120p, and the valley of 16p.... phew.... Meanwhile I have also seen quite a few trolls over here. But what I don't understand is that many of us pay so much attention to them. Let them do, give them the impression that they are important. Report if desired and be done with it. We can talk and discuss the SP for hours, days, months, one thing is certain: the lawsuit must at least end in a compromise between both parties. Or we should win. Otherwise we have a problem. And to all those who are waiting for an RNS, .... or something that would convince themselves to stay: as long as you don't sell, you have not lost anything. Unless you need the money. But basically you just made the biggest mistake. Don't play with pennies you need. Good luck everyone and happy holidays!
hèhè wiezen, fantastisch
Welkom! Leuk dat er nog Belgen/ Vlamingen in dit aandeel zitten!
My average is higher, so this doesn't really apply to me. But we are up 54% in just under two months.
Is this now related to the last interview with Mooky, or is this already the build up to The Batman, or am I missing something, or is it just too early, and will it level off later today? I'll enjoy it while it lasts ;-) Have a nice day everyone!
good job LP!
on this CINE chat board, regarding the share price information: share price 44.45
Bid 40.00
Ask 75.00
I only noticed this now.... Is the difference always that big before opening?
This morning's RNS is ok. But, that's it, just ok. The percentages don't really interest me. The positive cash flow on the other hand... In other words, wait for the results in March. Regarding the lawsuit: I read somewhere in a post that it is now certain that the possible fine will certainly be a lot lower. I'm not so convinced yet. It might as well be scaled up... I maintain that both parties represented by their CEO & lawyer should sit around the table together. That could lead to a (good) compromise for both parties. Again, In other words, I don't see anything spectacular happening until mid-March. So I hope that until then we can hang around 40p. I'm still in, longer than expected, but that's the way it is.
also in my view it will be a mutual agreement between both parties. if the court has to work it out further, we're off for months, maybe longer.
Correct Latpulldown!
Canadian cinema operator Cineplex will temporarily lay off about six thousand part-timers. The measure was taken because the cinemas are closed due to the corona pandemic and the rapid spread of the omikron variant.
As in many other countries, Omikron has also caused a boom in infections in Canada, recently tens of thousands a day.
Cineplex announced on Thursday that the state of Ontario is the hardest hit. There, five thousand employees will at least temporarily lose their jobs. The cinema sector worldwide has been hit hard by the pandemic, which has also strongly increased competition from streaming services.

The Ontario judge who ruled in Cineplex's favor in a case against its former suitor Cineworld Group found cases where the testimony of the executives of the British movie giant was contradicted by text messages and other internal documents, has she wrote in her judgment.
In her ruling, Judge Barbara Conway explained that Cineworld CEO Mooky Greidinger, his brother Israel Greidinger and CFO Nisan Cohen testified that they intended to complete the deal with Cineplex until they accused Cineplex of alleged breaches of their deal last summer.
However, Judge Conway points out that their communication "paints a very different picture" of the executives who had long plotted to reverse the takeover.
Barbara Conway claimed that the evidence she saw showed that Cineworld was considering its options as early as mid-March and that by the third week of April, it no longer intended to close the deal if the price was still $ 34 per share.
The deal ended up in court after Cineworld pulled out of the takeover in June 2020, alleging significant adverse effects and violations by Cineplex. Cineplex, for its part, claimed it was a case of "buyer remorse" and sued its former suitor for more than $ 2.18 billion in damages.
Judge Conway ruled that Cineplex was not guilty of the alleged violations and awarded the company $ 1.24 billion in damages, but Cineworld has since vowed to appeal the decision.

but what I really don't understand, in such a large takeover financial transaction, is the fact that both companies have chosen a court of competent jurisdiction (if things go wrong like what happened here), in the home of one of the two stakeholders. I would never allow that unless it is the country where my own company headquarters are located. Which was not the case at CINE. I can't, again, I can't understand that.
The only thing that 5uck5 about this situation is what was predicted a few months ago. You never know where you will end up with a lawsuit. Be judged right? Being wrong? That does not matter. Because the opposing party will appeal anyway. That's my prediction. Resulting in a very uncertain time for both parties. It would be better to lock up the CEOs, CFOs and lawyers of both parties together and only release them when they have found a solution. In the end, that's the only good solution.
about thirteen months ago we were also on 24p. And 4 months later a big 392% higher. I just want to say that I am not impressed, although it did hurt and I choked on my coffee this morning.
