if you open this link you will see an article by Fool... i know.... but scroll down a bit, there you will see a graph of US movie theater ticket sales. I already posted it once. no idea where they get the chart from. I have dug deeper, without being able to find the origin. If I look at this, then it's not as good as we think.

As many of you already know I came in sometime in the middle of Q4 last year. A second purchase somewhere in mid-May this year. We have already been through a lot in that year. The beautiful rally from low to 122p, the plunge in mid-March, and the big drop in July. Luckily I don't need the money I have in cine. What does bother me, when I compare with last year, is that there is so little news to pick up. And that makes me nervous. But I've never lost a cent with stocks and I don't plan to now. (my second purchase is responsible for that, and my associated average). It's been the most exciting ride I've ever been on. Good luck everyone and don't sell!
However you twist it or turn it, we are up 16% in almost three months. Simple, dry, and just correct.
I don't like Fool's posts either. but of course that graph has to come from somewhere... they won't have made it themselves anyway....
I don't know where the graph in the link originally comes from, but this says something.... whether it's for AMC, or for others... I think it's going to be a bit of the same picture for all theaters around the world.

in the following link Mooky, Tim Richards and Megan Colligan speak. you will have to drop it through the translation mill yourself. https://vertigoweb.be/zijn-box-officesuccessen-no-time-to-die-en-venom-sequel-keerpunt-voor-bioscoopsector/
Hi Robin292, i'm still here... and just trying to do my research from here too and try to add value to this board as well. If you don't want to read it, just skip me. not that this makes me feel any worse or better.
I read this in a Belgian newspaper. source: het nieuwsblad. would this affect today's/this week's sp?
i found this news while googling for news about cine. it's on our board between cine share news. only it is not indicated. added today at 11:48am. did you read this already? What has been written is, in my opinion, 100% correct and shares my opinion. https://www.lse.co.uk/news/CINE/no-time-to-die-for-british-cinemas-banking-on-bond-boost-142gz6lh5at9vwe.html
the opening price and a decline, I hope only the first hour today, was to be expected... if you look at yesterday's ordinary delayed sales, quite a lot has been sold.
it is an analysis based on AI. that's all. I already asked the question a few weeks ago I think regarding walletinvestor.com. no response then. you just have to dig a little deeper yourself. Just look at the long-term trendline. The stock has never been at 700p. take your loss and go if you want.
I just read this online in a Belgian newspaper:
The UK economy has emerged from the lockdown stronger than expected. In the second quarter, the economy grew 5.5 percent compared to the previous months, according to figures from the British Bureau of Statistics. Initial forecasts were based on growth of 4.8 percent. The growth is broad-based: both the government and the companies spent more, but especially households opened their wallets.
The British economy is still 3.3 percent smaller than before the corona crisis. In addition, high inflation and supply problems (with empty supermarket shelves as a result) weigh on the recovery.

it's another day to walk around in your diaper.... darn it, it can really go either way. it's not boring at all. good luck today
Ha yes.... thx
And yet, yesterday the shorts went up according to shorttracker UK. from 8.58 to 8.75. there is always a difference in % between the graph and the total % in the list.... Does anyone know why?
If we can lose 30p in 10 calendar days in July, we can now regain these in 10 days, or less. Good luck today!
good morning LPD, in all honesty it will also be my first time going to a cinema again.... very good that those figures are quoted. good luck everyone!
