I got regular phone calls from Turner Pope about increasing my holding in DVRG.
I never thought a wedding could have such a huge impact on the SP!

My old firm are the new auditors. Classy firm. Way better than when I was there lol.
Chrismar, it's not always as straightforward as you say. It's not just the time element of a contract but how and when the work specified in the contract is being delivered. It is the key item for Financial management and auditors to get right and it does beggar belief that it could get so wrong unless there was fraud rather than mere incompetence.
Great news and looks like we could all be on a winner here. Should all go through by end June as "preparations are well advanced"
Shame the Megasteel website doesn't say anything about this or the RTO though. Why is it low key? I want to start getting excited about this again and am looking forward to holding shares in a steel supplier - quite a bit different to my other holdings.
Have we all given up on this? Has anybody got any news to report?
Relegating news of a CEO with such a high profile and visibility as PJ to a mere strip line towards the end of the RNS says it all. It had to be the main news (because it was) and just means that they are trying to play it down which is a ridiculous and stupid strategy and causes more harm to the SP than being upfront would have done.
The BOD really ought to be seriously thinking about what they are doing/have done. Comparison with Harbour today is stark and shows up where the smart money should be (but maybe neither of them. Despite harbour showing a PBT of 2.46b it ended up with a PAT of only 8m thanks to the obscene Windfall tax. Ah but we have a secret weapon here, out tax losses, so that should give our SP a huge advantage over the opposition. But as of a few minutes ago Harbour is up 0.61% while we are down 3.5%. I'm sure Mitch is very concerned about all of this!!!!!
I sold when alerted that the SP had dropped 10% without an explanatory RNS. It took a while to get out. I was sad to go but, without time to digest what was going on I followed my normal procedures which is to sell first and ask questions later.
I'd love to be able to buy back into one of my favourite holdings but will not rush in. GLA
I'm already in HBR as well as here but they are all struggling now. Maybe Hunt might help next week. It certainly isn't a good look for Government when they have to fire up coal power plants have to be fired up to stop blackouts while they drive North Sea operators away with their Tax policy.
I'm getting a bit fed up with people suggesting to me that SQZ must good value now. In theory, that's right but decision making is letting them down badly.
Thanks GaiasKidney. You're probably right about the reason for the sharp late drop in the SP but it just highlights the stupidity of the markets to mark down a Lithium company for a current problem when they are still a long long way away from actually producing the stuff.
and the inevitable RNS comes out to clarify. Great news. GLA
Thinking back the CGT loss I recall was on an unquoted investment not a listed company. It's just possible that an AIM company may fit the criteria of unquoted for tax purposes but not sure on that. Sorry
Sorry to hear of your large loss Bagpuss. Other than legal action, which IMO would be costly and unlikely to succeed, I fear that you have little realistic prospect of recovery. When I was in practice I did manage to convert a large CGT loss into an income tax loss which was set against profits or income subject to income tax but I really don't know if that is still possible. If you know a tax expert it might be worth a quick chat.
IMO Paul, you don't actually seem to add much value to the level of discussion on the forums on which you post. Most thought SD was a genius in the way he outmanoeuvred Sandeep over the minority stake in the JV. Also bringing in a quality team costs, otherwise they wouldn't join a junior miner. He gives frequent presentations to keep us informed.
Ok the SP has dropped sharply and you'll know from reading the post on here that most of us are unhappy. Do you really think the SP would rise if he walked away?
You may well be right Utah but it doesn't actually help by banging on about it. Where i would pull you up is when you say it's all a big play and joke by the company. That's plainly ridiculous - the professional Administrators have a duty to get the ocmpnay out of administration if they can, and that is what they are trying to do. If that fails, yes, of course, it will then be forced to proceed to insolvent liquidation.
Thanks Gordon for asking the very relevant questions rather than simply giving up as some people have. GLA
