As a newcomer, can someone explain what a shortsqueeze is please

There is one certainty in all of this .
Absolutely no point in building these gigafactories unless there is a supply of raw materials.
Eventually eyes will fall on hmz and when they do - whoever has been selling, will wish they had sat on their hands. It’s a very risky call this close to the end game. I for one believe that an rns will drop sooner than later, so I’m sat firm . My belief is whoever is selling has been in a long time and their shares were around the 1-2 area, so they can afford to play around . Are they selling and leaving / selling and re buying - definitely the latter ... with all this positive news around nickel, could be a huge “ ouch” coming to them and a sell may see a very hefty re buy cost

0.13 c$ = 0.077 according to my google.must be based on a different rate. That would be welcome news in the A.M after a week of gloom and sells

Maybe I’m over thinking , but these shares used to follow the nickel price as if they were glued together

The amount of “ round figure “ sells over past couple of days - all 100,000 or 150,000 clumps ect . They stand out against the odd numbers of shares usually traded

Something odd is going on - maybe someone de risking - or maybe something completely different

Share values are based on 2 values
People who want to sell/ people who want to buy.
So let’s look at those who want to sell - what would be the reasons? The return on these shares probably will not jump significantly pre Christmas, so sell and hope to make a few percent day trading ( imho absolutely not worth the risk)
People who want to buy - evidence of significant movement within 1-6 months, we are not talking single figure rises , but even before finance news drops the return should be 30-50 percent.
Like was said I see these shares at 9-12 within 6 weeks very easily ... then the rocket will launch and anyone not holding will be extremely sad to miss out

I think that the biggest piece in this puzzle is the “ off take agreement “ . This is almost complete and you begin to wonder who the buyer is ... news of a significant player here will be critical to the value of everything... will it be one large buyer or several smaller ones? My thoughts is one large buyer and to sign up to buy this amount of nickel—- there can only be a few companies in the world possible- or a huge broker ... dare to dream people !!! If a certain electric car manufacturer, has in part agreed to purchase the offtake, then we are in for a significant pay day on that news release

Yes the gates are open on a takeover —- Orion could very well buy up any dropped shares at the low so and take advantage

I tried to sell a few at 6.7 but no joy- I’ll sit on my hands now though . Realise there will be a drop and it will sit low now until January- but imho the traders are mostly out and it’s the long terms now dropping a few shares and then waiting for the re buy at a lower sp- it’s a risky game. It just takes one big buyer to see the potential for a sizeable return within 6 months and the drop could be very short lived

For all the “ conspiracy theory” out there —- there has been Twitter updates weekly, every week for who knows how long - 5th 12th 19th ect ect ....... so when that doesn’t happen .......... you get to wonder why ????

My thought is that as we get closer to the year end , we will see more posts/ tweets due to a lot of speculation and thoughts regarding the coming new year.. looking at whoever posts these for Horizonte- they tend to do on a weekly basis (19th, 12th,5th ect ) unless something specific to nickel comes up. Not much to get excited about I’m afraid- but should they carry on more and more outside of “ the norm” then who knows , maybe something- maybe nothing

A lot of investors are looking towards more opportunities without “ guilt trip” - certainly an ever increasing amount... plus, don’t forget what Musk advised !! Go out and find us eco friendly resources ( or words to that effect)

Wasarunner- I’m sure you will be waking up a very very happy person in the not too distant

Given the footwork is done and the mine is more or less “ good to go” - the nickel market, big car companies ready to sign huge deals for batteries, ect ect. The 300 million would be an insult and one I very much doubt the BOD would even look at . My estimate would certainly be well over 500, and probably closer the billion( I’m sat on over 10 billion - just need to dig it up, so I’m not giving it away)
So an high 30- mid 40s for a buyout IMHO

Wasarunner, I enjoy your posts, a lot of information and a feel for the type of investor here. Like you , I say a few taking the money and running - but I see more taking some profit and leaving enough in to take advantage of the 20-50 a share .. personally, I think the likelihood is late teens on finance, then once in production- 35-85 .. so yeah I’ll probably dump 20/30 percent of my holding on first major news, but would not take the lot ... I’ve waited a while now and although I would like to see some return, I’d feel foolish to not hold out until production- yes doubling and running is nice- but with a 500 percent increase very possible in 12 months —- I’m going no where ( unless the board sell of course)
