Cadence Minerals (AIM/NEX: KDNC; OTC: KDNCY) is pleased to note the announcement today by Bacanora Lithium (AIM:BCN) (“Bacanora”) that it has signed its Investment Agreement and Offtake Agreement (‘the Strategic Investment’) with Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd. (“Ganfeng” or “GFL”), the world’s largest lithium metals producer in terms of production capacity and the world’s third largest lithium compounds producer. Both agreements, which are on substantially the same terms as outlined in the Company’s announcement on 20 May 2019, have now been submitted to the relevant authorities in China for approval and completion. Bacanora is a lithium exploration and development company. Cadence holds approximately 1.5% of Bacanora’s equity and 30% of Mexalit and Megalit joint venture companies. Mexalit is the owner of the El Sauz, El Sauz 1, El Sauz 2, Fleur and Fleur 1 mineral concessions, which forms part of the 20-year mine plan of the Sonora Lithium Project in Northern Mexico.

Cornerstone strategic investment of 29.99% in Bacanora for £14,400,091
GFL has been granted pre-emption rights proportionate to its shareholding in Bacanora.
GFL shall appoint one Director to the Board of Bacanora.

Bacanora says terms of a deal with Ganfeng for project and equity funding, offtake and engineering and construction expertise are on "substantially the same terms as outlined" in May this year. This means Ganfeng could end up with up to 50% of Sonora and nearly 30% of Bacanora, the latter through a £14.4 million equity take-up at 25p a share.

Bacanora shares (AIM: BCN) closed down 7.8% Monday at 46.1p.

"Completion of the strategic investment is anticipated by the end of July 2019 and would form a major part of the company's finance package for an initial 17,500 tonnes per annum lithium carbonate operation at the large-scale, high-grade Sonora project in Mexico," Bacanora said.

Bacanora Lithium wants to produce lithium carbonate from clay at Sonora in Mexico.

Hanwa Corporation of Japan previously pulled out of a five-year lithium offtake agreement with Bacanora, and a hoped-for investment from Chinese investor NextView did not happen.

"Let's hope it is third time lucky for Bacanora otherwise it may be sayonara for Sonora,"London-based investment firm SP Angel said this week.

"If Genfeng can't get this project up and running then probably no one can."

Bacanora's share price is up nearly 370% since March 11 but well down on its 95p 52-week high.

London-based investment bank VSA Capital said this week: "We believe that Ganfeng have been attracted to the Sonora project's key fundamentals of low operating costs and the genuine capability to produce battery grade lithium rapidly and consistently."

Bacanora has been running a C$20 million pilot plant in Hermosillo since 2016 to upgrade and process ores from Sonora. The plant continued to produce battery grade (99.5%) lithium carbonate, the company said.

Sonora hosts an estimated 5 million tonnes of lithium carbonate.

Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - ALIX RESOURCES CORP. (“Alix” or the “Company”) (AIX-TSX:V) (37N–FRANKFURT) is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 100% interest in two large exploration concession applications covering 22,625 hectares adjoining Bacanora Minerals Ltd. (BCN-TSX:V) Sonora Lithium Project.

The concessions being acquired by Alix target extensions of lithium-bearing host horizons contiguous to the Sonora Lithium Project owned by Bacanora Minerals Ltd. (BCN) and Rare Earths Minerals PLC (REM) (a partnership known as BCN/REM). The 2010 greenfield lithium discovery at BCN/REM’s property is now being fast-tracked to production. The Sonora Lithium Project is comprised of a lithium resource hosted in hectorite and polylithionite clays within a volcano-sedimentary sequence.

Alix Resources is acquiring a 100% interest in the two concession applications, “Tule” and “Tecomate”, via a Mexican company based in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. The Mexican company has submitted applications for the concessions with the Mexican Mining Authority.

President Mike England states, “Alix’s Mexican consultants have succeeded in acquiring the only readily available ground on the inferred lithium trends and contiguous to BCM-REM Sonora Project. Our concessions are extremely well situated and, being on the same trend as Bacanora’s growing deposit, have us eager to commence work in the coming weeks.”

About Alix’s Tule Concession

The first of Alix’s new properties, the Tule Concession, comprises 18,125 hectares (approximately 15 kilometers east-west by 12 kilometers north-south). Recent BCN/REM presentations illustrate a series of four lithium-bearing beds that are interpreted to extend for several kilometers to the south of the BCN/REM property. Alix’s Tule Concession covers the extension of three of these lithium-bearing horizons.

The mineralized trend on the BCN/REM property has been interpreted to extend approximately 15 kilometres SSE from the La Ventana Lithium Deposit to the location of another lithium prospect, and at least an additional 12 kilometers from this point, towards the Alix Tule Concession.

About Alix’s Tecomate Concession

Alix’s second property, the Tecomate Concession, is located north of the Buenavista Concession at BCN/REM’s Sonora Project and north of the village of Huasabas. The property covers approximately 4,500 hectares. Intercepts from 11 of the 24 reverse-circulation (RC) holes drilled at the Buenavista Concession returned values in excess of 1,018 ppm Li and as high as 2,210 ppm Li (equivalent to 0.54% and 1.18% LCE, respectively) in a lithium-rich stratigraphic trend interpreted
