The action is the result of the work of the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP-AP) and the Federal Public Ministry (MPF / AP).
Prosecutors of the MP-AP Adilson Garcia and Wueber Penafort, respectively, holders of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the Defense of the Environment, Agrarian Conflicts, Housing and Urbanism of Santana and the Public Prosecutor's Office of Porto Grande, participated in the entire process of negotiation and signing of the agreement. Wueber Penafort, also represented the Prosecutor's Office of Pedra Branca do Amapari, during the holidays of the holder, prosecutor Rodrigo Celestino, at the time of the agreement.

Since the accident, which occurred in March 2013, both MP-AP and MPF / AP have put in place procedures to determine responsibilities for what happened, which even resulted in the death of company workers, at the time called Anglo Ferrous Amapá Mineração.
According to the investigation, Anglo Ferrous Brazil was the main shareholder of Anglo Ferrous Amapá Mineração, responsible for the exploration of iron ore in the State, until October 2013, when it was succeeded by the economic group of Zamin.
With the agreement, Anglo assumed the commitment to pay R $ 47 million reais to the municipalities affected by the accident, as a compensatory measure. It is highlighted in the document that, although there is no conclusive evidence about the company's fault in the accident and, given the sad social situation caused by the developments, its representatives agreed to sign the agreement with the MP-AP and MPF, as well as with the municipalities. affected by the shutdown of operations in the State by the company Zamin.
