RE: POSSIBLY the Panama trial just started today28 Jul 2025 12:21
This is Stockies post back in May regarding the Leandra V and we all know what a load of bull that turned out to be. So now its Panamas turn to get the Stocky treatment.
MSC Leandra Neighbourhood Watch Update 3
As stated in the posts at the beginning of this thread, the Leandra V slowed down from 18.8 Knots to 13.2 Knots, in the middle of nowhere, after taking a route over 88Km north of the main shipping lane, 4 hours and 44 minutes away from the main shipping lane.
This is unusual in itself as it's not a direct route to it's destination, it wastes a lot of fuel and takes many hours longer. When you then add that the ship that took the identical route 4 days before it followed the main shipping lane, it sounds even more unusual. Then add that no storms were anywhere near the shipping lane the days the Leandra V crossed the Atlantic, so there was nothing being avoided, it sounds even more unusual.
To add to all that, I've now checked the track the Leandra took and checked the speed. It's been chugging along at SLOW steaming speed of 18-19 Knots. It slowed down to 16 Knots when it crossed the very busy shipping lane, but has not been anywhere near the extremely slow 13.2 Knots it dropped to for a very brief time out in the middle of nowhere, in a place where there's nothing to slow down for. And why slow down for such a short amount of time, makes no sense to me.
Here's the screenshots comparing the route of the Leandra V vs the Rosaria. https://ibb.co/KpN6xQY2
