Correction Highland m/c 1.35bn CAD and 360% up in a year or so..........might be worth a small punt then?

Had the same thoughts as you ducatiman996r.....and thought that the fundamentals seemed to put HOC in a stronger position to make more of a % gain than it's peers like e.g. FRES

I noticed the Blackrock RNS and it didn't bother me...did they just cross the 3% or 5% (anyway I discounted it as immaterial)....don't know much more than that.....but Physical attracts tax, is heavy, and I like to swing my positions fast...nervous about the ownership and physical backing of ETF promises and whether contracts would get cancelled if there was a run etc. (hence silver Miner shares)

Was looking at Highland recently backed by Sprott 40m Cad$ from memory but 1.2m m/c and a 500% ish run this year just makes it look too pricey...I know I shouldn't be a cheapskate and it may be a gamechanger/lifechanger (I believe it is set to make profits of PERU's GDP @ 10% equiv?)

Maybe on pull back.

I tend to hold a bit (as with HOC) but I trade the momentum on Silver to make the profits (all being well). I don't want to hold a lot of Silver. Prefer AU.

Traded out part of holding last week 1K @ 806p and BT. part back 400@745p yesterday.........Intend to buy more when JPM has fixed their prob.

Surprised we're not up more (SP wise)....bit of a lag I expect....silver up over 5% from when I bought back.

Bankrupty says you are right....why do you think USA is doing what it's doing? Correct the whole conflict with Iran, Venez, Cuba?? is all about oil and rare earths. Cut off (and then control?)China's Oil and they will USA have it's rare earths back....simples....lol

No prob JC21, Going from £1m odd in shares (from £120k odd invested in 2008 ....lost £50k in RBS,HSBC before that) to £35,000 in 2 years odd felt like being bankrupt....lol

My net worth in Property, shares, cash, deposits, PMS, collectibles is a bit over the £1m

£100k only now is in shares so yes 2% of shares was ROCK but after yesterday's rebuy it is 3.6% odd

0.2% of total £1m assets was what I meant which was the £2k in ROCK....lol (devil/detail).

Keeping some dry powder in cash to re-enter more shares later (prob last quarter 2026)

I'm not in GB so property is cheap ( 5 bed detached worth £250, 3 bed Semi worth about £160k).

and just answering other posters questions.......try harder JC21 in reading what is written in the posts and comprehending IMO......and then you will understand before asking silly questions...and why say stop going on and then ask a question? lol Anyway I've things to do.......opportunities to assess elsewhere.......I'll be leaving ROCK to play out for now.....and will be back when there is something happening!

Only one.......Used to be bankruptsharebuyer but got zapped for speaking my mind and telling the truth......other posters called me bankrupcy in the posts so I tried to get that one but it was taken so ended up with bankrupty..........it was all about how I used to play like you profess (hug n hold) and turned £106k +£20k into near £1m and then watched it go all the way back to £35k....that's when I turned my computer off and avoided shares for 5 years. and then it seemed to gradually creep back to £40k, £50k,£70k.......£280k...........& then £180k, £120k, £80k...........nearly gave up....

....now more balanced and risk adverse......hence my messages on diversity, diversity also away from shares, Hold yes, trade also etc.

Silver is temporarily hit by strong(er)(for obvious reasons) US$ (temporarily IMO) by default and economic (not temporary IMO but exaccerbated by IRAN conflict)....I have read that 200day moving average is still intact .......so BULL medium to long term is still expected to drive silver to mega highs.....no change.

Of course miners will excell.......I'm still on the sidelines here buy most of my play is in HOC for the time being.

Cousin, It was always about Lighthouse Project and in particular Plateau (part of the Lighthouse tenement in North Queensland, Australia for me. e.g. Nov 2020 RNS..." Hole BPL041 has returned the highest-grade silver ever recorded at Plateau, with an interval of 18.86 m @ 29.7 g/t Ag (1.0 ounce/tonne), including 1.26 m @ 408 g/t silver (13.1 ounces/tonne) from 67.74 m."

I analysed quite deep and even felt they had missed a "Core" opportunity to the SW. This project is now farmed out as more of an investment to Sunshine Mtals, farming into Rockfire's Lighthouse tenement and has the option to earn a maximum 75% interest in the tenement by expenditure of AUD$2.2m over a 3-year period.

So you never know! It might return someit yet...lol

It's a different herd of sheeple on here than say 5-8 years ago.......and they were the ones who were saying the same sort of stuff to me then too....funny thing is......I'm the one who has held at least some of ROCK for the whole period......they have moved on to pastures new.....

.....cause their strategy didn't survive....(mine made me profit and did)....

Sort of not with you on that Silverlight...... unless you mean the law of averages. point is out of the last 5 years alone 50 trades in ROCK ....more or less 95% success profits.

maybe 2500 trades on portfolio in that timeframe and less overall success ...but say 75%??? Still moving forward. Would help in some shares had not been legally? stolen...lol

Point is I do HOLD ROCK also (as stated) for the FOMO and tend to only trade what I hold or happy to hold.

And if I had invested £100k in ROCK 5 years ago and purely held as you appear to suggest I would be down £75k. My £100k would be worth £25k today on paper which takes a lot longer to pull back if/when the plan succeeds with ROCK.

I dunno ...it seems most everyone agrees with you....I must be on a parallel existence being a permo contrarian....lol

I know what you're saying Silverlight.....but interest is paid on depreciating fiat in bankrupt custodians (and just not worth it) .It takes little time to look at the daily drops on a share portfolio and take buy or sell action on the 10% movers to pocket a profit. If I hadn't done this and kept a balanced portfolio I wouldn't have the asset size. My Physical PMs went up £24k v £GBP fiat and more v EURO.......but that fiat is merely a measuring stick....lol and Property pays the rent and still makes a profit despite legislative challenges.

If I had purely held my ROCK over the last 5 years I'd be well down...bearing in mind a million ROCK was £8k then and £2k now.....

HFT make money on millions of penny trades daily........I'm purely somewhere in between trading to a miniscule extent and holding a divers portfolio.

It wouldn't be a bad idea (IMO) to take what I say as is. Try to think what it takes to build the portfolio value with small hard earned over the years....and apply accordingly might not be the worst mistake you make...alternatively keep on preferring to see it the way you would like it to be...and gamble on the outcome as the "bigger picture"

Now back to my reality...I still hold a Core....do I buy back my 1m ROCK for a trade @ 10% cheaper than I sold last week ( andkeep the £200 profit) or wait??
