Its not a Ceres capacity. They only licence the tech to Bosch. 200Mw of AFC fuel cell sales is worth a lot more than £23m to AFC as they benefit from the full sale price under their current model. AFC have not adopted the licencing approach.

But yes, interesting that it will be 2024 before Bosch can produce 200Mw and AFC are looking at this just from Dunsfold by 2022.

Sites have to have traffic management plans and all kinds of planning activities. With changes to the way we generate power to reduce emissions we have to design the layout and works, temporary and permanent to accommodate these changes.

You are also not considering the use of construction EVs which are readily available. They just need to have a charge point and again a stack of 40ft containers with EV charge points is not an issue at a large site hub.

Boffin. Completely disagree. The 40ft container and even the 10ft container is ideal for site establishments. There are many hub sites on HS2 which is ideal for stationary power such as this replacing the direction generators in the background. Some of the sites are already running hydrogen lighting.

I know for a fact that these projects have looked at fuelcell power and I do not see the power density as a problem. It will obviously improve once the solid system is available but major projects need to move on this now.

After spending considerable time researching I have come to the same conclusion. Its about having the capital to move forward, near term profitability, pipeline of business, desirable product, good sentiment and a good BoD. Rather than spread myself to thinly across anything with a green credential preferring to stick with a select few. EQT did not excite me at the beginning of the year but it certainly does now its getting its act together. DP has so much potential and expect him to deliver on multiple fronts. The strategy and business model is brilliant and should produce signifcant income with plenty of room for growth and enduring revenue through energy sales and operate and maintain contracts.

The government should be setting targets for major construction projects such as HS2 and LTC to ensure that best available technology is adopted for carbon neutral construction. This includes enabling works such as pipeline and infrastructure diversions as well as tunnelling.

The HiiROC process if successful and scaleable would be beneficial for gas networks and the transportation of gas over hydrogen. The networks completely understand how to transport natural gas and a move to hydrogen transportation although possible poses many unknowns until suffient operational experience has been gained. To convert CH4 to H2 leaving carbon black on site would be a solution for enabling existing networks to operate without change whilst building hydrogen micro infrastructures for the production and transportation of hydrogen. The product has scope and it would be really interesting to see where they are at with it.

How much value will it add is also not something that can be answered. It may be nothing it may be something. The market decides. Anyone investing based upon news on Billingham on the 18th looking for a quick profit may be out of luck. The SP is currently rising based upon sentiment and the fact EQT are lagging the sector. DP, if he delivers over the next 12-18 months could turn EQT from a £60m business into a unicorn for its shareholders but that is not going to happen this month.

I agree with aandi in the position of EQT. For a company with an MCap of less than £60 and the experience they have in proven technology, the pipeline they have and the focus on green economic recovery EQT are well placed to have the biggest upside.

I have been invested in AFC for 11 years and its literally the last 6 months which have started to show signs of transformational business. Behind EQT I would say AFC have a lot of upside and are currently positioning themselves to mass manufacturing for their potential pipeline of business.

I think you need not compare the current AFC fuel cell system with a diesel generator in relation to cost and output. A more power dense PEM cell will cost much more than an AFC system which rules out the comparison between an AFC and PEM system for offgrid solutions.

Large construction companies, and perhaps some of the largest projects in the UK are looking for alternative power solutions away from diesel and fuelcell power is the closest alternative. Currently perhaps not as lower dense as a diesel generator but a whole lot cleaner.

Agree with your future offerings for the solid system as this would cover a multitude of applications.

And as said earlier, it may be more beneficial to stop considering the UK as the biggest market for EV chargers. I can think of a few countries with vast landscapes which would require H Power rapid charge systems

Its not a case of having to charge your car in a national park carpark, expecting a charger to be available. But in respect of driving youd EV to any venue there is nothing better than not having to plan your route because there is a charger anywhere.

Plenty of fuel stations around national parks which may not have the facility for rapid charging but could do with rapid charge facilities supported by something other than running large cables through said national park.

Mucksy, I don't even think we are talking about remote locations. Quite simply the DNO will not be able to meet demand without costly upgrades. This has been referenced as a concern by quite a large number of concerned end users which have looked at chargingnof EVs in any significant number. Its not about the ability to generate enough power but to do with the delivery of that power through the distribution network at an acceptable rate.

Delivery of hydrogen to remote locations would be no different to delivering liquid gas to customers innareas where the gas network does not service homes. Instead of hydrogen I would suggest that ammonia would be used or even water, solar, electrolysers, fuel cells and batteries dependent on localised demand. Perhaps all that in combination with wind and ammonia minimising deliveries and balancing requirements.

The H Power system is a truly excellent piece of kit with a huge market. Even as a 160kw version. It makes sense to utilise micro power generation than spend billions upgrading an existing network just to satisfy NG. End users are utilising a range of power solutions such as solar and wind to generate their own power. Less reliance on the transmission and distribution networks. More forward looking to micro generation.

There is also festivals and concerts. Call it what you like but where EVs are in use there will be significant demand for offgrid power. Whether this is because the grid is inadequate by means of it not actually existing in these locations or simply just inadequate to meet demand.
