George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Sipp10.
What is tiresome is to hear one ridiculous "valid" reason after the other.
If you seriously think that the AGM moved so AB can give a better update. Then it looks like i have a whole bunch of buyers for brooklyn bridges.
Please send your checks to
Gullible_sod@gmail.con
The deeds will be in the post after recieving payment.
BTW could you geniouses explain why there was not a proper notice sent out two weeks before the planned AGM?
Or is your logic that they knew more than two weeks before that it was going to be moved, but then just did not care to inform us?
At least in Sweden a proper must be sent out and assume this is valid for Enquest due to being listed in Sweden.
Please show an example where AGM moved within two weeks of the date.
I am sure it will very easy for you to find examples, since apparantly LSE stocks are in reality a circus
Start by stop to pretend that there is reason except incompetence for the AGM move.
Yeah right Romaron.
What incredebly hard you try to find some valid reason that the AGM moved.
Normally you do not seem to be this incredible gullible. I have a bridge in brooklyn to sell to you to and not only January. Or maybe you prefer an EGS machine that will replace oil?
The answer is so obvious incomptence when it comes to the question about "logistical" reasons.
It looks like we are not getting a OU update today.
What wonderful news. This must mean that there is an imminent announcement or deal being announced.
What could it be are we bying Exxon or maybe declaration of a 60p dividend?
The market will surely react very positively that instead of wasting time of writing an OU the company is busy doing more important stuff. Surely the share will react immensely positively.
January I guess you are going to go out and celebrate due to this.
Main suspects for no OU update today, incompetence and laziness. Might of course also have valid reason like they do not care or needed to go to the loo.
@january2
"Maybe our RNS operational update is out tomorrow !
They did say in May. They like Thursdays."
There are so many reasons that the OU might not come out tomorrow. Maybe IR is going to a pub crawl, somebody going to a wedding or funeral, boris farts.
As a spurs fan I know you see incompetence as virtue, so I know that you are not going to be disappointed tomorrow.
Do not forget what is important is to always cheer on your shares and AB.
@romaron
"Er, I think they do and they populate our media everyday and even stop some people getting to work."
Could you be specific. If you read what ppl pushing for renewables are saying, I do not think the argument is
that oil is useless. The message is that it is is hard, but neccessary to do. And I do not think anybody at this
point has a good idea on how to be able to phase out completely, but we need to push for it hard.
"Don't really understand what you're trying to say about India and China but all I know is that they're in love with coal."
China is pushing renewables very hard. India an China is part of Paris climate agreement and they are working to reach their goals.
Also consider that the IPCC report is a work of many countries, and if oil was sustainable it would not have the conclusion it has. Because it is much easier to countries to continue to use fossil fuels.
But maybe you could say what do you think should be done to phase out fossil fules. Should we do nothing at all?
If we should do something when do you see that we have phased out oil.
"I'm not against reducing emissions but prefer to see the real costs quoted that ignore the benefits that hydrocarbons have brought and continue to bring to societies around the world."
The problem is that the true cost of hydrocarbons is not the price of oil. I do not think anybody ignores the huge benefits of oil or how hard it will be to stop using oil. You usually state the obvious on the benefit but ignore the downside if we continue using or even worse grow our dependency on oil.
Do you really think that countries like India or China would be worried about the usage of hydrocarbons if they also did not understand the issues.
Using oil is like peeing in your pants very warm and nice in the beginning...
@January2
"Maybe we should see what happens in the days leading up to the AGM before we accuse people of incompetence !"
Since you seem so convinced there is no incompetence involved you wanna make a bet.
You want to make a bet?
BTW I still have heard zero real reasons why one would move the AGM for one month. And why a proper notice was not sent two weeks before.
There has been imaginary reason that have been suggested, but none that actually would require the AGM to be moved.
A AGM is not a meeting with friends that you move if somebody can not make it, like you seem to think.
"Many many possibilities banana Joe."
Incompetence being the main suspect.
"But a different AGM date does not effect the performance of the company. Not really a big deal is it !"
If you believe incompetence is not a big deal then that is for you to believe.
"So why moan unless you have lost money in pre-booking travel yourself. "
So in your opinion if you own stock then you should just be cheering on regardless of the level of incompetence shown?
I do not adhere to this. I am fine of criticizing a company also when I own shares. Maybe you should start behaving less like football supporter and more like a shareholder that can keep more than one thought in their head.
I am moaning because I feel for it and to show this level of incompetence not once but multiple times is just not acceptable IMO.
So yes I am considering selling, and will for sure sell much earlier than I would have if they had not shown this ridiculous incompetence over and over again.
Really, Janyary?
If that is whay you believe then I have a bridge in brooklyn to sell to you.
Are you really sure that AB has to be there? I really doubt that is true.
So why did they not send out a proper notice two week before the AGM? They magically anticipated AB needing to attend the cirkus?
"The surprise rearrangement of the AGM must be deliberate for one of two reasons."
You missed the third one, incompetence. They just do not seem to be able to set up an simple action list of what is required to do to do normal business operations. They should hire a ****ing kindergarten teacher to supervise the IR to lead and supervise the IR department.
I am happy to be proved otherwise. But never heard of AGM being moved one month for a deal or announcement.
Kraken.
It is just that when you think the clowns have peaked. Then they manage to surprise you again.
I am repeating because it is not one time now but twice that they have shown incomptence worse than som nan cap listed on the OTC.
And they might join the FTSE what a joke LSE is.
What a joke you are Jan.
I am invested in Enquest. But the fact is that it is a clownshop.
How can you screw up AGM date. And a RI so that not all shareholders can participate.
I am in Enquest due to the numbers. But if anybody can mess up returning value to shareholder with an open goal and 5 tries it would be Enquest.
Maybe you will wake up know and realize it is a Enquest is a clownship. Incredible amateurs in the same way they missed prospectus in Swedish so that Swedish investors could not take part in the RI.
My bet is that even a clown can manage to return cash to investors with oil at above $100
KO. Do you mean AOI?
You should compare EV and not market cap. AOI has no debt very low cost per barrel. And they have 6% stake in what ppl believe is a huge discovery that could contain 3B barrells.
If the market cap was the same I would sell all Enquest and buy AOI.
