It wouldn’t be the first time. I remember DL spouting about visits to see Elon when price was c.1.8p (in old money) showing photos suggesting deals were being done - then the inevitable decline to f all and not a peep from him, until dah daahhhh another massive pump!!
Both will be the death of this business if recovery is not swift - and USA are a bit prompt on thinking they have hit the peak I think. The risks are huge with investing in this one I still think it could goo to the wall. Cinema already pretty depressed with Netflix etc - more Netflix memberships over lockdown can only depress it further. Big screen is now the small screen even star actors can earn more through Netflix than big productions.
So I used to be a holder of KDNC and BCN. On the first one I lost a bucketload until I realised it was just a vehicle to pay the BOD, and Lenigas at the time. I have watched this space off and on now for 2 years+ and EMH seems to have been a roller coaster. Are things clear with the Czech gov yet? Is there money in the pot to get the mine operational? Is this worth’s small punt? There is certainly no question about adoption of EVs anymore?
Add Spain to that list buddy. Oh and the fact that they are offering full refunds. This is going to be carnage - if you think this is in anyway comparable to the pilots strike you are completely deluded. Very little income for what could be conservatively a month is going to cripple airlines - yep Ryanair may be in a bette reposition to weather the storm but at this stage who in their right mind will be investing in this sector - there is a long way to drop yet. I reiterate my 6p target. (Oh and my flight today, given option to change date yesterday, website did not function properly so couldn’t, it flew without me this morning I have already put in for a full refund) - website could not cope with the demand.
I think it is entirely plausible now that all flights to and from Europe will be suspended - in this instance I expect flight companies on the stock exchange will be temporarily suspended. I think the next few days the price will replicate drops of today. Yesterday people were saying 9p predictions were ridiculous, maybe what I am saying is not so ludicrous?
The magnitude of low income from a major hit on passenger numbers and/or cancellation and carrier costs is yet to be factored in. But if you are long then this shouldn’t concern in long term. On a positive note when this blows over oil will be down to 25p (also short on that!) meaning some incredible low costs for airlines
My sentiment is very short term. And yes valuations would drastically be affected but if virus rates replicate Italy in the uk which they are expected to short term valuation will mean naff all. Long term I fully agree RYan air are an incredibly well run business but these events are unusual and that brings with it turmoil (founded or not!) and short term shorting opportunity. I will invest long starting slowly at 9p or if 6p arrive will put the house on it as I can see Ryan air monopolising.
