There are far more qualified posters on here...but let's just take a lateral flow test for Lung cancer in China...Allan mentioned the potential in China of 30 million tests a year at $100 and 15% to CIZ = $450mn. We also expect penetration in the US. Last November it was said that an estimated 14.2 million Americans meet the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendation for lung cancer screening. But with a cheap, reliable blood test suspect that will be a lot more offered it. There are 6mn smokers in the UK. There are over 1bn smokers in the world. I won't do the maths but even if just 10% of smokers globally take the test annually that will be worth billions in royalties. But it isn't just smokers. There will be tens of millions of people who will want the test owing to their occupation. Let's face if there was a cheap, reliable blood test for lung cancer I would take it every year. Then we have tests for other cancers. Imagine if the test could be used to flag early stage breast cancer then it really would be game over.
