nobody knows for sure with it being India.I am not sure where they are in the tender stage but I do know SRT are "exceptionally well placed" to win and of course with the expected need for satellite tracking nobody else can supply what SRT/Exactearth can with these identifiers (class B) at this price.....no matter what bestprat says!

no ADVFN can't help it is just another BB although there is some great info over there. SRT have trialled their identifier along with 2 other competitors.As I have said before SRT is EXCEPTIONALLY well placed to win the contract and ABSEA could well help to sway the decision in their favour because nobody else can do satellite for the type of equipment and pricepoint that India wants..

forgot to say come back and let me know who else can track class B or identifiers for small boats (which are to be used in India ) successfully other than Absea tech.... we ALL know that class A can be done....but class A is too expensive so SRT/EARTHEXACT devised their new tech for amongst other things affordability and so far it is unique to the industry...or is that lies and fantasy too?? taken from the ABSEA whitepaper ABSEA technology represents a solution to the growing problem of being able to track the millions of small boats on our oceans that was not previously possible. ABSEA enabled transceivers are not only easily deployed but are the only truly cost-effective solution available for the efficient monitoring of small vessels.

whilst SRT are confident for reasons I have explained I suppose you can never be totally sure until the contract is signed, this is India after all.If India are looking for satellite tracking can someone please tell me who else can deliver it for these indentifiers other than SRT/ExactEarth, as far as I know nobody else has the technology.

Mr Tucker is the CEO of a company that is the world leader in AIS equipment who with ExactEarth have a UNIQUE product in ABSEA., so let's see,,they are world leaders in AIS,they have the best equipment, the lowest cost,, a product in ABSEA that no competitor can match, all the back up and contacts and have been nurturing this for 5+ years....so I would say ST has every right to be confident and say so, hardly inside info eh!

before you write any more drivel may I suggest you visit both the SRT and EARTHEXACT....oops I mean Exactearth websites and spend a little time reading up and watching the webcasts to better understand your investment!!

As for saying it breaches regs then you are quite funny, just shows how much attention you pay you can't even get your head around EXACTEARTH not EARTHEXACT....seems you are quite good at getting things back to front!! Maybe the word cahoots is not correct, depends on your interpretation, but I question you are invested at all considering you obviously know sweet fa about SRT. the budget per item for India is $260 and yes SRT are very much in the driving seat and can supply at those prices with good margins.The identifier price varies on different configurations but for the India project the cost is $260 each approx. as I said "with good margins". Absea IS exactearth/SRT nobody else can supply satellite, the Indian authorities are already in cohoots with exactearth talking about Absea in this project, so it is all beginning to fit.There is no revenue yet because the tenders have yet to be sorted, but ST tells me SRT are " exceptionally well placed and are confident in winning the tender.I think you will find that SRT are leading the race and will end up with recurring revenue too with Absea because nobody else has the unique offering that SRT/exact earth can deliver.

yes India is worth about £35/40 million, but the important thing for me is that they are looking at Absea, so recurring revenue.

if the Absea thing does as well as Exactearth expect ( 1 million boats over the next 4/5 years) then it will be quite a bit more than £200M..

can't argue with any of that, but I will add that SRT could get taken out once the Absea contracts start rolling in with all that recurring revenue for very little effort. aimo..

What’s it worth? With gross margins of c.50% and fixed overheads of c.£4.5 million, SRT is potentially a very profitable business. The manufacturing process is outsourced, so there is plenty of operational gearing waiting to kick-in should the promised upturn in demand arrive - and there is now more reason than ever to believe that that upturn could be on the horizon. On 30th January 2015, the US Coast Guard formally published new regulations which require more commercial vessels in US waters to install and operate a USCG-certified AIS transceiver within the next thirteen months. The rules require that certain categories of commercial vessels, such as fishing boats, tugs, and ferries operating in US territorial waters install a USCG certified AIS transceiver. The first sign of an uptick from this quarter was seen on 22nd January, when the firm announced $1.1 million of orders for a range of its AIS OEM products from customers wishing to ensure that they have some stock to meet initial demand. With the long-awaited US mandate now in the bag, I reckon SRT could begin to surprise on the upside. Breakeven looks to be around £10 million in revenues (i.e. £5 million in gross profit minus fixed costs of c.£4.5 million). If the promised uptick in activity materialises, the shares could fly.
